You can’t start playing Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile: Activision shut down the game’s servers on April 17, 2026. The app had already been removed from Google Play and Apple’s App Store in May 2025, so reinstalling it or signing in with an Activision account will not restore access.
What happened to Warzone Mobile?
Activision ended new seasonal content and gameplay updates, discontinued social features, and stopped real-currency purchases before removing the app from the stores. May 19, 2025, was the last day to make purchases using real currency. The final step was the server shutdown on April 17, 2026; the game is no longer playable.
Activision said the game “unfortunately did not meet our expectations with mobile-first players like it has with PC and console audiences.” The explanation appears in its Warzone Mobile Service Changes notice, updated February 16, 2026.
What happens to your account?
Guest accounts are no longer accessible after the shutdown. Activision accounts remain accessible through Activision’s websites and other titles that require an account, but that does not reopen Warzone Mobile or restore access to its servers.

What can you play instead?
Activision identifies Call of Duty: Mobile as a separate mobile game available through Google Play and Apple’s App Store. It is not a continuation of Warzone Mobile, and access or progress in it does not transfer you into the discontinued game. Activision’s installation and access troubleshooting page, updated February 25, 2026, lists minimum requirements of Android 6.0 or later with at least 2 GB RAM, or iOS 15.0 or later with at least 2 GB RAM. Check the current store listing for availability and requirements in your region.
Why old setup instructions no longer apply
Older guides may describe device requirements or installation steps, but they cannot get you into the game now that its servers are offline. For historical context, Activision’s January 17, 2025 minimum-specification update said that, from November 14, 2024, Warzone Mobile required iOS 17 or Android 13 or later and a GPU capable of bindless texturing. Those requirements are not actionable setup advice after the shutdown.
