Warzone Ranked Play was reportedly suspended temporarily in May 2025 while developers investigated server disconnections and players not receiving Skill Rating (SR). That account came from secondary reporting; an official suspension notice, the affected playlists and platforms, and a restoration time have not been confirmed. Ranked Play is not described as currently shut down: Raven Software’s October 7, 2026 Season 06 notes set out active Ranked rules and changes.
Why was Warzone Ranked Play temporarily disabled?
A GameByte video description dated May 7, 2025 reported that developers suspended Ranked Play while investigating server issues. It cited disconnects and cases in which players were not correctly awarded SR. The report is secondary, and no primary Raven Software or Activision suspension post was located to verify its details. As a result, the available evidence supports describing this as a reported temporary interruption, not a confirmed permanent end to the mode. It does not establish which Ranked playlist or platforms were affected, exactly when the suspension began or ended, or the wording of an official notice.
Is Warzone Ranked Play currently disabled?
No current shutdown is indicated by Raven Software’s official Season 06 patch notes, dated October 7, 2026. They describe current Ranked Play rules and changes, including a shorter Ranked season and the Ranked Resurgence schedule. What changed in Season 06 Ranked Play?
Schedule and SR Challenges
Raven says Season 06 is shorter than a regular Ranked season. Ranked Play: Resurgence follows the Multiplayer Ranked schedule, with three weeks of normal Ranked play followed by one week of Ranked Series. SR Challenges are disabled for the whole season; Raven says this is intended to give a clearer view of the underlying SR system.

Deployment fees and maximum earnable SR
Raven says SR progression in Bronze through Platinum was satisfactory, while it saw significant SR inflation in Diamond and higher divisions over recent seasons. Its Season 06 response was to raise deployment fees in the upper divisions.
