Yes. CameraFi Live’s Android guide lists YouTube as a streaming platform and video files as a selectable video source, so you can add a saved clip to a broadcast. The guide does not document every step for this exact combination or specify how playback behaves; check the clip in your installed app before relying on it for a scheduled stream.
How to add a saved video as a CameraFi Live source
CameraFi’s Android beginner guide, published December 27, 2024, documents choosing a platform and adding a video source. It names YouTube as a platform and video files among the available sources. The guide does not provide a dedicated, end-to-end walkthrough for sending a local file specifically to YouTube, so treat these as the documented workflow rather than a tested walkthrough.
- Choose YouTube. From CameraFi Live’s home screen, select YouTube and follow the app’s login process.
- Open the source menu. In the broadcast interface, open the swipe menu and choose Video to add a source.
- Select the local video. Choose the video file you want to use, then use the app’s source controls to select or switch to that clip as you prepare the broadcast.

Check compatibility and playback before going live
The Google Play listing identifies Android 5.0 or above as compatible and says available video sizes depend on the platform and smartphone model. It does not establish which file formats, maximum file size, or maximum duration CameraFi Live accepts. Nor do the official pages reviewed say whether a selected clip stops at the end or loops. Test the specific file in your installed version before a scheduled broadcast, and verify that the output looks and sounds as intended.

Check YouTube Live access separately
Being able to select YouTube in CameraFi does not establish that a particular YouTube account can go live. CameraFi’s general YouTube streaming FAQ dates from February 4, 2020, so it may not reflect current account-specific requirements or restrictions. Do not confuse RTMP input with sending a file to YouTube
CameraFi’s June 30, 2026 Android update describes external RTMP input as a separate beta feature for receiving an outside RTMP feed. That is not required for adding a local video file as a source, and it is not the same as streaming out to YouTube. CameraFi’s RTMP input update.
