Which FIFA 16 modes work offline?
EA’s FIFA 16 feature page explicitly describes Kick Off and an Offline Tournament as ways to play with the Women’s National Teams. The FIFA 16 manual also lists these modes:

- Kick Off: Play a local match without relying on FIFA 16’s online services.
- Career: A single-player mode; EA’s feature page describes Career features including Pre-Season Tournaments and Player Training.
- Skill Games: Practice challenges listed in the manual.
- Tournament: The manual lists Tournament among the game modes; EA specifically identifies a Women’s International Cup as an Offline Tournament.
- Women’s National Teams: EA says these teams are available in Kick Off and an Offline Tournament. Its separate mention of Online Friendly Matches refers to network play, not offline play.
These offline options remain distinct from FIFA 16’s retired online services. EA notes that some games may remain playable offline after online services are removed.
Does FIFA 16 Career Mode work without internet?
Career is listed as a FIFA 16 game mode in the manual, and EA describes Career features on its feature page. The online-service retirement does not itself mean that Career or local match play was disabled. For PC, however, initial activation is a separate issue; see the setup section below.

Can you still play FIFA 16 Ultimate Team?
Not through EA’s official servers. The manual states: “All modes associated with FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) require a connection to the EA servers.” This applies even when a FUT activity includes a match against the computer: the match’s opponent does not remove FUT’s server requirement.
EA lists FIFA 16 online services as retired on February 14, 2023, for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. The retirement affects online functions such as FUT; it is not a shutdown of the offline game itself. See EA’s service updates.

What should PC players know before going offline?
EA’s archived pre-2016 product-specific disclosure says FIFA 16 for PC requires an internet connection for product activation and refers to an EA/Origin account, Origin client installation, and online authentication. EA’s 2015 release announcement also included the qualifier “Internet connection and Origin account required.” These are setup and authentication requirements, not evidence that every local match needs a live connection.
The available information does not establish how every previously activated copy or present-day launcher configuration behaves. Before relying on a PC installation where there is no internet, make sure the game is activated and launches successfully while connected.

Which FIFA 16 version do you need?
EA released FIFA 16 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3. Choose a version that matches your platform: editions with the same game title are not interchangeable across console generations. A copy of the game does not restore EA’s retired online services. Current stock, condition, seller, price, and regional compatibility depend on the specific listing and were not established here.
