Sometimes, but there is no self-service merge button and EA does not guarantee that it can combine two accounts or move everything between them. You need to contact EA Help, have access to both EA Accounts, and ask EA to assess the specific accounts and content. Game progress and saves may stay with the account where they were created.
What merging EA Accounts means—and what it does not
EA Help says that merging accounts isn’t always possible. If you have games on multiple EA Accounts, contact EA Help; EA decides whether it can help with your particular accounts. You cannot move games or platform accounts between EA Accounts yourself.

A merge request is different from unlinking a console or PC platform account, and different again from changing an email address. Unlinking and relinking a platform does not move the original account’s progress. An email change can free up an address, but does not combine accounts or transfer games.

What may transfer—and what may remain behind
Do not assume a successful game transfer will bring its associated data with it. EA says game data, including saves and achievements, is linked to the EA Account. Its guidance warns that not everything transfers, and data can remain tied to the original account even if a game is moved.

- Progress and saves: may remain on the EA Account where they were earned or saved.
- Other content: DLC and expansions, memberships or subscriptions, rewards, and in-game purchases can be affected, particularly if you unlink a platform account.
- Steam entitlements: EA says rewards, points, and items can remain on the first EA Account linked to Steam.
EA Help describes these risks in its account linking and unlinking guidance. Ask EA about the specific games and connections involved before authorizing a change.
Check restrictions before asking EA to combine accounts
Eligibility depends on the accounts, platform history, and games involved. EA lists restrictions that can prevent a transfer or make it risky:

- Access to both accounts: EA says advisors may be able to help combine accounts when you can access both. Recover access first if you cannot sign in to one.
- Bans: EA says games cannot be transferred if either account has a ban affecting a platform account, a game, or the whole account.
- Child accounts: Age-related rules restrict transfers involving certain mature-rated games and transfers from a child account to an adult account for the child to play.
- STAR WARS: The Old Republic: EA warns that requesting a merge for an EA Account associated with SW:TOR permanently removes access to that SW:TOR account and its associated progress; those accounts cannot be retained or transferred in the merge.
- Apex Legends: EA says progress from two EA Accounts cannot be merged. Progress is tied to the EA Account, and unlinking can remove access to progress and content. See EA’s Apex Legends cross-progression guidance.
- Platform-link switching: EA’s current guidance describes a limit of up to three linked-account switches in a rolling year. This is an operational rule that can change; check EA’s live linking and unlinking guidance before making a switch.
How to request help safely
- Sign in to both accounts. Note which account holds each game, purchase, save or progress, and which platforms are linked. Do not proceed as though access to only one account will be enough.
- Check the rules for each affected game and platform. Review EA’s unlinking warnings and the game-specific help page. Do not unlink a platform just to test whether its progress will follow; EA warns that access to content can be lost.
- Contact EA Help through its account support flow. Ask whether the two specific accounts can be combined. Explain which account holds each game and identify the linked platforms. EA must assess the request; a merge and transfer of all content are not assured.
- Wait for guidance before changing links. Follow EA’s instructions for the accounts in question, especially if either has a ban, is a child account, or includes SW:TOR or Apex Legends.
If you only need to free up an email address
If a second EA Account is using the email address you want on your original account, EA documents an email-change workaround: change the second account to a temporary email, then change the original account to your preferred email. This changes which account uses the address; it does not merge accounts or move games or progress. See EA’s email-address change instructions.
