If you mean the original 2003 Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, the official Ubisoft Store and Steam listings checked show paid PC copies, not a verified free download. Check the live store page for your region for any new promotion; subscription access through PC Game Pass is also not confirmed for this specific game.
Which Splinter Cell is this?
This page is about the original Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, released on PC on February 18, 2003, according to its Steam listing. You play Sam Fisher, a covert agent in Third Echelon, infiltrating locations and gathering intelligence through stealth. The game allows lethal and non-lethal approaches.
Can you download the original Splinter Cell for free on PC?
No current free offer was verified on the official store pages checked. Ubisoft and Steam list the PC game as a paid product. Offers and prices can change by date and region, so check the live listings before buying or relying on a promotion.
- Ubisoft Store: The Standard Edition is a paid listing, and Ubisoft says the PC download is added to your Ubisoft Connect library. The regional pages checked showed €9.99 on a European listing and S$13.40 on another regional listing; these are regional examples, not guaranteed current prices.
- Steam: The U.S.-localized listing showed a $9.99 regular price and a $2.49 sale price during a displayed offer that ended October 1. That expired sale is not evidence of a current deal.
Use the official store pages to check for an active offer in your location. A past promotion or community post does not establish that the game is free now.
