Open a Humble help-center support ticket, identify the account and transaction, name the affected bundle or games, and explain what happened. Canceling Choice is a separate action: it stops future renewals but does not by itself reverse the latest payment.

What a Humble refund actually means
A refund request asks Humble to return money for a completed purchase. Humble decides whether to approve it. Paizo Customer Service, in a response modified February 8, 2024, summarizes the arrangement this way: “Refunds are done through, and at the discretion of, Humble Bundle.” That statement is useful because it distinguishes a request from an entitlement: submitting a ticket starts a review, but it does not guarantee a reversal.

For Choice, a June 2, 2026 LegalClarity guide that cites Humble’s support refund-policy page reports a general two-week window from the charge and a condition that no key from that month’s bundle has been revealed. The guide describes this as policy guidance, not an unconditional legal guarantee. Check Humble’s current help-center wording before relying on it, especially if your purchase is outside that window or your account is in a different jurisdiction.
The two conditions that matter most for Humble Choice
Timing: count from the charge
The reported Choice guidance uses the date Humble charged you, not the date you first noticed the payment. If you want a review, submit the ticket within two weeks of that charge. Locate the date in your Humble order history, PayPal activity, or card statement and keep a copy of the transaction record.
A request sent after two weeks is not described as automatically impossible in every circumstance; it is outside the reported window and therefore more dependent on Humble’s case-by-case decision. Explain the reason for the delay rather than assuming the support agent can infer it from the account.

Digital fulfillment: do not reveal a key
Humble’s reported guidance treats key status as a material eligibility condition. Revealing even one game key from the month’s bundle can remove the refund option for that bundle. Redeeming a key is also a form of use, so do not redeem anything while you are deciding whether to request a refund.
If you have already revealed or redeemed a key, tell support exactly which title was affected and when. Do not conceal the status; the account record can show it, and an accurate explanation gives support the information needed to assess any remaining options.

Prepare before opening the support ticket
Gather the information support uses to match a request to a payment. Having it ready reduces back-and-forth and lets you submit before the reported two-week period ends.
- Account email: use the address attached to the Humble account that was charged.
- Charge date: record the date shown in Humble, PayPal, or your card statement.
- Transaction ID: copy the identifier exactly. If the payment route supplies a separate reference, include that as well.
- Purchase description: name the Choice month, one-time bundle, or individual game involved.
- Key status: confirm whether any key was revealed or redeemed. If one was, identify the title instead of leaving the field vague.
- Reason: write a short factual explanation, such as an accidental renewal or an unwanted charge.
- Account access: if you cannot sign in, explain that in the first sentence and provide every identifying payment and purchase detail you can verify.
Do not reveal a key merely to inspect which games are included. You can ask support about the transaction without changing the fulfillment status.
Step-by-step: submit a Humble refund request
- Freeze the digital purchase. Do not click “Reveal Key” and do not redeem any code from the questioned bundle while the request is pending.
- Verify the charge. Open your Humble order records or the payment account used for the purchase. Note the exact charge date, amount, currency, and transaction ID. If you used PayPal or a card, copy the reference shown there too.
- Identify the product. Write the Choice month or the precise bundle and list the relevant games. A support agent should be able to tell which entitlement you mean without guessing among several orders.
- Open a Humble help-center support request. Use the refund or billing route available in the current help center. The labels can change, so choose the category that most closely describes a refund for a completed purchase.
- State the request plainly. In the first line, say that you are requesting a refund and identify the charge. Avoid a long narrative before the essential facts; support needs the account, transaction, and product first.
- Explain the circumstances. Say whether the charge was accidental, unwanted, or otherwise not intended. If you are contacting support after the reported two-week period, explain why the request was delayed.
- List the identifiers. Include the account email, every applicable transaction ID, charge date, and the bundle or game names. If the account is inaccessible, say so and provide the payment information you can substantiate.
- Describe key status accurately. Confirm that no key has been revealed or redeemed, or specify exactly what was revealed. Do not claim that a bundle is unused if any title was accessed.
- Submit once the record is complete. Save the ticket number and a copy of your message. If support asks for clarification, answer in the same ticket so the full transaction history stays together.
- Wait for Humble’s decision. The available guidance does not promise a fixed response time or an approval outcome. A ticket is a request for discretionary review, not an automatic reversal.
Cancellation and refund are separate actions
If your objective is to prevent another Choice charge, cancel or pause Choice through the controls in your Humble account. That action addresses future renewals. It does not automatically return money from the charge that has already posted, so submit a separate refund request for that payment.
Annual and multi-month plans require extra care. Cancellation ordinarily stops the next renewal while the prepaid period continues. If you want money back for unused months, contact support directly and identify the plan, its original transaction, the remaining period, and the key status of the included bundles. The available guidance does not promise an automatic prorated payment.
When a renewal was accidental, do both tasks: stop the next renewal and ask support to review the existing charge. Doing only one leaves the other issue unresolved.

What to do when the payment route is PayPal or a card
Humble remains the party that decides whether its purchase is refunded, but the payment record may sit in another system. Use the Humble order information together with the PayPal or card reference so support can reconcile them.
PayPal payment
Copy the Humble transaction ID and the PayPal transaction reference, then provide both in the ticket. The account email used at Humble may differ from the PayPal login address, so state both when they are not the same. Do not assume that opening a separate payment dispute is equivalent to asking Humble for a refund; describe the issue to Humble first and follow the applicable payment-provider rules if further help is needed.
Card payment
Use the statement date and merchant description to verify the charge, but do not send unnecessary full card numbers. Give Humble the transaction identifier and the last identifying details it requests through its secure support process. If the Humble account is inaccessible, say that immediately and include the purchase date, amount, bundle name, and any receipt information you can access.
Examples of how the rules apply
An accidental monthly renewal with no key revealed
You notice a Choice charge, confirm that it occurred within the reported two-week period, and have not revealed any key. Submit the ticket with the account email, transaction ID, month, and a concise explanation that the renewal was not intended. Separately cancel or pause Choice so another renewal does not occur while the request is reviewed.
A charge discovered after the reported window
You find the payment more than two weeks later and the keys remain unrevealed. The timing is outside the reported guidance, but you can still ask support to exercise its discretion. Give the exact charge date and explain why you did not contact Humble sooner; do not describe the two-week period as a legal guarantee or assume that a late request will be accepted.

A bundle with one revealed key
You opened one key to test a game and then changed your mind about the bundle. The reported guidance says that revealing even one key can remove the refund option. Tell support which key was revealed and which, if any, remain untouched. The agent can decide whether any remedy is available; there is no basis to promise a refund.
An annual plan you no longer want
Canceling the plan normally prevents the next renewal, while the prepaid term continues. If you want payment for unused months considered, send support the annual transaction, the remaining period, and the fulfillment status of the included bundles. Treat that request separately from the cancellation confirmation.
Jurisdiction and statutory rights
Humble’s discretionary policy is not the only possible source of rights. Consumer-protection and digital-content rules vary by country, state, and other jurisdiction. Some laws may provide cancellation or refund protections that apply to a digital purchase, while others recognize that access or download can affect those rights.
When relying on local law, identify the country or region governing your purchase and check the current consumer authority guidance. Tell Humble which jurisdiction you are in if it is relevant to the request. Do not assume that the reported two-week Choice guidance replaces statutory protections, and do not assume that a statutory remedy exists without checking the rules that apply to your transaction.
Common mistakes that weaken a request
- Revealing a key before contacting support: this can change the eligibility assessment for the bundle.
- Treating cancellation as a refund: stopping renewal does not reverse a posted charge.
- Leaving out the transaction ID: a general complaint about “a recent charge” forces support to search manually and may delay review.
- Using several tickets for one payment: duplicate requests split the context. Keep follow-ups in the original ticket unless support instructs you otherwise.
- Omitting the account email: payment details alone may not identify the correct Humble account.
- Hiding key activity: disclose any revealed or redeemed title so the decision is based on a complete record.
- Assuming a deadline is guaranteed: the two-week period is reported policy guidance, and Humble retains discretion.
- Requesting unused annual-plan money without identifying the plan: include the original transaction and remaining prepaid period so support can evaluate the request.

Replace each bracketed item with your information before submitting; do not include brackets as placeholders in the ticket.
How to decide what to do next
- Check the charge date against the reported two-week Choice window.
- Check whether any key from the affected bundle was revealed or redeemed.
- Identify whether the purchase was a single bundle, a monthly Choice charge, or a prepaid annual or multi-month plan.
- Collect the account email, transaction ID, product name, and payment reference.
- Submit one complete Humble support request.
- Cancel or pause Choice separately if preventing future billing is important.
- Keep the ticket record and respond to any follow-up questions with precise transaction details.
What is established—and what is not
The strongest practical points are consistent: Humble controls refund decisions; the reported Choice guidance uses a two-week period from the charge; revealing a key can remove the option; cancellation stops future renewals rather than automatically reversing the latest payment; and a useful ticket identifies the account, transaction, and bundle.
