EA’s latest device-related announcement describes removing EA-related scripts and content from public Cronus Zen and Strike Pack sites and Discord—not a mass account-ban campaign.
What EA’s policy says about Cronus Zen
In its August 28, 2026 Season 4 anti-cheat update, EA says it prohibits hardware that provides a competitive advantage, including devices designed to avoid detection. EA names Cronus Zen alongside XIM, Strikepack, and Titan Two as examples. The policy is about how the device is used: using a device to evade detection while gaining a competitive advantage is prohibited. Read EA’s Season 4 anti-cheat update.
EA says warning messages may appear for prohibited products and that enforcement can progress from nudges for minor violations to more significant warnings or sanctions. The update does not describe an automatic Cronus-specific penalty or say that every person who owns or uses a Cronus Zen will be banned.
What EA announced about Cronus Zen and Strike Pack
On September 10, 2026, EA said it had raised concerns with Collective Minds, the manufacturer of Cronus Zen and Strike Pack, about third-party tools that enable cheating across EA titles. EA reported that EA-related content and scripts were subsequently removed from the products’ public sites and Discord server. Read EA’s announcement about taking the fight outside the game.

This is an action involving content and scripts distributed through public channels. EA’s announcement does not report a wave of account bans, provide Cronus-specific sanction totals, or establish that enforcement is identical on PC and console. A manufacturer’s removal of scripts and EA’s enforcement against an individual player are separate matters.
Does this apply to both PC and console?
EA’s policy names Cronus Zen as a prohibited device when used to evade detection for competitive advantage, but the reviewed public material does not set out a platform-by-platform Cronus enforcement rule. EA Help says Battlefield 6 requires Javelin anti-cheat on PC and explains the game’s rules and appeal process; that PC requirement does not, by itself, prove that Cronus enforcement works identically on consoles. See EA Help’s Battlefield 6 rules.
So the accurate answer is not “all Cronus users are being banned across PC and console.” The documented rule prohibits competitive-advantage use, while the official announcements cited here do not confirm a blanket cross-platform ban campaign.
Reports and anti-cheat numbers are not Cronus ban counts
EA says reports can help direct investigations, but reports alone are not evidence of wrongdoing for enforcement, regardless of how many are received. A report or social-media accusation is therefore not proof that a particular player cheated or was sanctioned.

EA’s October 2, 2026 anti-cheat update reports 327,756 cheat or tampering attempts prevented during August. That is a game-wide count of attempts Javelin stopped before they affected matches—not a count of Cronus users, investigations, bans, or unique players. EA also defines Match Infection Rate as the share of matches negatively affected by at least one cheater, including suspected cheaters for whom there may not be enough evidence to enforce; it should not be read as a confirmed-ban rate. What to do if EA sanctions your account
If you receive a ban or suspension and believe it is incorrect, use EA’s formal appeal process described on its Battlefield 6 rules and support page.
