Yes. Gameloft says it can flag and block an Asphalt 8 account when its security checks detect suspicious activity. Its examples include unofficial game copies, cheating, exploits, game modifications, automation, and harassment. What can get you banned in Asphalt 8?
Gameloft says it checks accounts for suspicious activity and may flag and block an account when it detects it. Its Asphalt 8 Help Center lists examples such as playing an unofficially obtained copy, tampering with the game or using external tools, exploiting game mechanics for an unfair advantage, and harassing other players.
Gameloft’s Asphalt 8 Customer Care guidance and its general Terms of Use describe a broader set of prohibited conduct. The terms page was last modified on October 2, 2025. Listed examples include:
- Using cheats, exploits, bots, hacks, mods, automation software, or other unauthorized software that modifies or interferes with the service.
- Sharing a password, allowing a third party to access an account, transferring an account, or accessing a transferred account.
- Transferring virtual items, farming them with multiple accounts or automated processes, or transferring them commercially—for example, for real-world money.
These are examples of prohibited activity, not a guarantee that every case receives the same penalty. Gameloft does not publish the detection signals or evidence behind a particular account decision.

How long does an Asphalt 8 ban last?
Gameloft says some bans may be temporary for a fixed term, with the term shown in the message displayed when you launch the game. Its support guidance does not state a universal duration, so check the message on your own account rather than assuming a standard number of days.
How to appeal a ban you think is a mistake
- Open Gameloft Web Support, select Asphalt 8, and choose the “Banned” category.
- Submit a complaint and keep the ticket ID and the email address you used to file it.
- Provide the ticket ID and submission email as requested so Gameloft can identify the case for review.
Gameloft’s banned-account guidance describes this review route but does not promise that a ban will be reversed. It also does not provide ban-rate, detection-accuracy, or appeal-success statistics.
