Yes, potentially—but Valve’s published rules do not specifically name autoclickers or say that every one will trigger a ban. Valve says third-party modifications designed to give a player an advantage are cheats or hacks and will trigger a VAC ban. If an autoclicker automates gameplay to provide an advantage, treat it as risky on VAC-secured servers; Valve does not guarantee either safety or a ban for any particular tool.
What Valve’s rules say about autoclickers
Valve describes VAC as an automated system that detects cheats installed on a player’s computer. Its policy says third-party modifications designed to give one player an advantage over another are cheats or hacks. That leaves the answer dependent on what a tool does and how it interacts with the game. An autoclicker that automates actions in a way that gives an advantage may fall under Valve’s general rule, but the published policy does not classify every external input tool or describe how a particular autoclicker is detected. No reliable ban probability for autoclicker use is given in the cited guidance.
What happens when VAC detects cheat software?
Valve says a VAC ban is applied when an account connects to a VAC-secured server while cheat software is running. A ban restricts future play on VAC-secured servers. Steam Support will not manually appeal or remove a VAC ban. If Valve determines that a ban was issued incorrectly, it says the ban is removed automatically after investigation.
VAC bans, cooldowns, and game bans are different
Counter-Strike uses more than one type of enforcement, and Valve’s support page does not say that autoclicker use automatically triggers any particular one. Counter-Strike: Competitive Cooldowns and Bans

Why CS2 Trusted Mode guidance does not settle the CS:GO question
Valve’s Trusted Mode documentation is for CS2. It says the mode blocks third-party files from interacting with CS2 and warns that targeted process injection is subject to a VAC ban. That is a warning about third-party files and process injection in CS2; it is not an autoclicker-specific ruling, nor does it establish that every external click tool is treated the same way in CS:GO. How to avoid unnecessary account risk
- Do not use an autoclicker in VAC-secured play if it automates gameplay in a way that could give you an advantage.
- Do not treat a tool’s marketing, community anecdotes, or the fact that it runs outside the game as proof that Valve permits it. The public rules do not resolve every implementation.
- Keep the game-version distinction clear: the general VAC policy is broader, while the Trusted Mode page and its process-injection warning concern CS2.
