Its private-server page, updated September 27, 2026, says rounds in private servers do not award coins or XP. Roblox’s general private-server documentation explains access and social play, but does not set MM2’s reward rules.
How MM2 private-server coin rewards work
The MM2 wiki states that players are unable to earn coins by playing rounds inside private servers. It is a game-specific rule reported by the wiki, not an official statement from Roblox or developer Nikilis.
Roblox describes private servers as a way to choose who can join an experience. Whether a particular game awards coins in that setting depends on that experience’s rules; Roblox’s platform documentation does not promise rewards. See MM2 on Roblox and Roblox’s private-server documentation.
Does Elite let you earn coins in a private server?
No. The MM2 wiki’s Coins page lists a collection limit of 40 coins per round normally and 50 for Elite Gamepass owners. Those figures describe the limit when coins are collected in a round; they do not show that private-server rounds award coins. Elite therefore does not establish an exception to the private-server restriction. The wiki’s Coins page was updated September 27, 2026.

What private servers are useful for
Private servers can be useful for playing with selected friends or having a more controlled session. Roblox says creators decide whether private servers are available and whether they are free or paid. The MM2 wiki listed its private-server price as 10 Robux per month when updated September 27, 2026; because prices can change, check the current in-game or Roblox purchase screen before paying. Neither private access nor that subscription is a coin-farming method. See the MM2 wiki’s Private Servers page.
If your coin balance seems to change
The sources do not document an exception or workaround for earning coins in private-server rounds. If your balance appears to increase, check the current MM2 announcements and compare your saved balance before and after a public round to identify where the coins were earned. Do not assume that a balance change proves private-server rounds award coins.
