Yes, but not as a standard app you download from the console store. Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S have Discord voice chat, gameplay streaming, and stream viewing through an account integration. PS5 has Discord voice chat in Game Base. PS4 supports linking accounts and sharing gaming activity, but official documentation does not describe native Discord voice joining on PS4.
Discord support on Xbox, PS5, and PS4
A console integration is different from a full Discord application: it adds specific Discord features to the console interface, but does not provide the complete set of Discord tools for text, server management, moderation, and media. Discord explicitly says its Xbox integration is not a standalone app; PS5 voice chat is accessed through Game Base.

How to use Discord on Xbox
Link your Discord and Xbox accounts
- In Discord desktop or a browser, open User Settings (the gear icon) and select Connections.
- Select the Xbox icon, then choose Continue or Getting Started.
- Sign in to the Microsoft account associated with your Xbox profile and authorize the connection.
After linking, you can choose to show your Xbox GamerTag, current game, and play duration on your Discord profile. One Discord account can be linked to one Xbox account at a time. For account and voice details, see Discord’s Xbox connection FAQ.

Join a voice channel from the Xbox guide
- Sign in to the Xbox profile linked to Discord.
- Press the Xbox button on your controller.
- Open Parties & chats, then choose Discord Voice.
- Choose a Discord server and voice channel, then join.
Dashboard labels can change. If Discord Voice is not immediately visible, look in the guide’s party and chat area.
Transfer a call from Discord on your phone
- Join a Discord voice channel in the Discord mobile app.
- Open the call’s audio controls and select Join on Xbox.
- When the Xbox app opens, select your console and choose Transfer Audio.
This phone-to-console transfer route requires the Xbox mobile app. It is not a requirement for every way of joining Discord on Xbox.
Stream gameplay or watch someone else’s stream
Discord’s Xbox integration supports streaming gameplay to a Discord voice channel or direct/group message. Discord says the stream can pause if you close the game or switch away from it. To watch a member’s stream, open the active call’s member list in the Xbox guide, select the person streaming, then choose Watch Stream. See Discord’s Xbox FAQ for current interface details.

How to use Discord on PS5
Link accounts on the console
- Press the PS button to open Control Center.
- Select Game Base, then Discord.
- Select Link Account and follow the on-screen instructions.
Link accounts from Discord instead
- Open Discord on a computer, phone, or the web, then open User Settings.
- Select Connections, then Add.
- Choose the PlayStation logo, sign in to your PSN account, and authorize the link.
PlayStation also documents linking through Account Management > Linked Services > Discord. Its account-linking feature shares activity and does not require PlayStation Plus; that statement applies to linking and activity sharing, not necessarily to separate PlayStation services. Join voice directly from Game Base
- Press the PS button and open Game Base.
- Select the Discord tab.
- Choose a server, direct voice chat, or group voice chat, then select the voice channel and choose Join.
For a direct or group call, go to Game Base > Discord > Direct Voice Chats, select a person or group, and choose Start Voice Chat or Join. You can also start or join a call in Discord on a phone or computer and select the PS5 as the destination; the console displays a notification or voice-chat card. Discord voice is not PlayStation party chat
A Discord call does not become a PlayStation party. Features such as Share Screen and Share Play belong to PlayStation’s party system, and voice-chat features may not all work with game voice chat. Consult PlayStation’s party voice-chat guide for the distinctions.

What Discord does on PS4
PS4 owners can link Discord and PlayStation accounts so their PlayStation online ID, current game, and play activity can appear on their Discord profile. PlayStation documents activity sharing for both PS4 and PS5. Its console Discord voice instructions, however, describe PS5; the official documentation cited here does not provide a PS4 path for joining a Discord voice channel on the console.
To link from PlayStation, use Account Management > Linked Services > Discord. Or, in Discord, open User Settings > Connections > Add, choose PlayStation, and sign in. If you need Discord voice while playing on PS4, use Discord on a phone, tablet, or computer, or use the game’s own cross-platform voice chat if it offers one. What console Discord integrations do not provide
These integrations are not full Discord clients. They provide selected voice, activity, and—on Xbox—streaming functions, rather than a complete replacement for Discord on a phone or computer. The official console documentation cited here does not describe full Discord text-channel access, server administration, moderation tools, or general screen sharing through the console integration. PS5’s documented voice feature also does not establish native gameplay streaming to Discord comparable to Xbox.

If the group is entirely on one console family, Xbox party chat or PlayStation party chat may be simpler. PlayStation party chat is the relevant choice when the group wants PlayStation features such as Share Screen or Share Play. A game’s built-in cross-platform voice can work well for a group playing the same title, but it is separate from Discord and is limited to that game’s support.
Fix common Discord connection problems
Discord Voice is missing on Xbox
- Install the latest available Xbox system update and confirm that the console profile is the Xbox account linked to Discord.
- Look in the Xbox guide’s Parties & chats area. For phone transfer, install or update the Xbox mobile app.
- Check whether your Discord account is linked to another Xbox account; one Discord account supports one linked Xbox account at a time. Disconnect the incorrect link before connecting the intended account.
- If you linked the accounts before Discord Voice became available on Xbox, disconnect and relink them.
The Discord tab or voice option is missing on PS5
- Update the PS5 to its latest available system software and confirm that you are signed into the PSN account linked to Discord.
- Relink the accounts if an earlier beta or preview link is involved, or if the account was linked before the feature was available to you.
- Review privacy, communication, and family-management settings. Child-account access can vary by age and location.
- Check that Discord and PlayStation services are available before repeatedly unlinking accounts.

Activity is not appearing in Discord
On PlayStation, privacy settings for online status and “Now Playing” must allow visibility for activity to show as expected. An offline status or restricted activity-sharing setting can prevent it from appearing. PlayStation also notes that availability varies with service availability, location, and child-account restrictions. See its account-linking and privacy guidance.

You cannot hear or be heard
- Check that the headset is connected and selected for the console’s audio output and microphone input.
- Confirm that the console microphone is not muted, Discord is not muted or deafened, and the relevant participant’s volume is up.
- Make sure the call is actually on the console. A call still active on a phone has not necessarily been transferred to Xbox.
- On Xbox, review communication privacy settings. Discord says some Xbox mobile privacy options, including “In-game friends” or “Blocked,” can prevent communication outside the console.
- Remember that Discord voice and in-game voice are separate. Switching or balancing between them depends on the game and console.
Which option should you use?
- Xbox with friends on PC or mobile: use the Xbox Discord integration for console-based cross-platform voice, and for sharing or watching gameplay streams.
- PS5 with cross-platform friends: join Discord voice through Game Base; use a phone or computer as an alternate way to start or transfer a call.
- PS4: keep Discord voice on a separate supported device, or use the game’s cross-platform chat where available.
- Everyone is on the same console family: Xbox party chat or PlayStation party chat can avoid the extra Discord setup; PlayStation party chat is needed for PlayStation-specific Share Screen and Share Play features.
- You need Discord text, moderation, or server management: use Discord on a phone, tablet, or computer, because the console integrations do not provide full Discord functionality.
