You can gift a friend a mount in Wizard101 if the mount’s shop listing has a gift icon. The gift must be a new purchase made with Crowns, and the recipient must be on your Friends list. You cannot use this feature to transfer a mount you already own.
How to gift a mount in Wizard101
- Open the in-game shop with the SHOP button, or find the mount at a shopkeeper.
- Check the mount’s listing for the gift icon. Wizard101’s Player Guide says not all items can be gifted.
- Select the gift option and choose the recipient from your Friends list.
- Complete the purchase with Crowns. The guide says only eligible Crowns purchases can be gifted, not purchases made with gold.
Why might the gift option be unavailable?
Gift eligibility depends on the item: if the mount listing does not show a gift icon, it cannot be gifted through this feature. Account settings can also affect access. According to the Player Guide, players over 18 may send gifts to people on their Friends list; players under 18 need gifting enabled through Parental Controls.
Can you send a mount you already own?
No. Gifting means buying an eligible item for a friend at purchase time; it is not a way to move an item from your inventory to another account. A Wizard101 administrator has also distinguished Crowns gifts from trading already-owned items between account logins in an official forum response.
What if the gift does not appear?
An older Wizard101 administrator forum response says gifts arrive immediately, or when an offline recipient next logs in. The sender can check Crowns History to confirm the purchase and recipient. If the gift is still missing, contact Wizard101 support and provide the account and character details, the item, and the sender information. Because this delivery guidance is historical, follow the current in-game interface and support instructions if they differ.
