No—not as an ordinary personal-account handoff. Roblox’s U.S. Terms say users access the service through their own account and must not disclose their account credentials to others, subject to a guardian exception for minors. The Terms expressly prohibit selling an account or its access credentials. They do not use the exact phrase “free account giveaway,” so it is more accurate to say that a casual giveaway is not an officially supported transfer process and conflicts with the rules on account access and credentials.
Why a free giveaway is not a safe workaround
Roblox’s Terms of Use require users to access its services through their own account and keep credentials confidential. They specifically state: “Selling your Account or your access credentials to another User is strictly prohibited.” Although that sentence addresses selling, the broader credential rule also matters: giving someone your username and password to take over your personal account is not the same as creating a separate account for them.
Roblox Support says it does not encourage account sharing and recommends that each player have their own free account. Its account-sharing guidance puts it plainly: “Roblox accounts are free to make, so it’s best if every player has their own.”
The Terms’ transfer exception is narrow
The Terms describe a limited account transfer connected to a valid written agreement concerning the right to earn Robux from virtual content created by that account. This exception is tied to that creator-content arrangement; it is not permission to hand a personal account to a friend or family member as a casual gift. The Terms also prohibit selling Robux or virtual content outside the Services.

Roblox discusses ownership of a Group or Community separately from personal accounts. That provision does not establish that a personal account can be given away.
Why Roblox recommends separate accounts
Anyone who can access an account may be able to change its password, spend its currency, or trade its items. A recipient could also take actions that affect the account or its contents. Roblox’s practical recommendation is to have the other player create their own free account rather than share yours.

Watch for password requests and unofficial deals
Treat requests for your password—especially those tied to a promise to build an experience, transfer items, or arrange a deal—as a security risk. Roblox says it has no official method to buy or sell experiences and warns against giving someone your password so they can build one using your account. Its scam guidance says never to enter your password anywhere other than the Roblox login page. Roblox also says it does not recognize or take responsibility for third-party services that sell, transfer, purchase, or otherwise use Robux or virtual content.
Do not use an account marketplace or third-party transfer service as a workaround. If you have already shared your credentials or think someone else has access, contact Roblox Support for help securing the account.

What to do instead
- Ask the intended recipient to create their own Roblox account.
- Do not share your password or give another person control of your personal account.
- For creator-content arrangements, rely only on the specific written-agreement provision in the Terms; do not treat it as a general account-gifting route.
- If credentials have been exposed or the account may be compromised, contact Roblox Support rather than paying a recovery service.
