Yes, one report describes Black Myth: Wukong running locally on a high-end Android phone—but only as an experimental Windows-game setup, not an official mobile release. A separate 2024 video claim was unverified, and the 2025 test reported stutters even at reduced settings. Phone streaming is another option, but it runs the game on a PC, console or remote server rather than on the phone itself.
Is there an official Android version of Black Myth: Wukong?
The available reports do not confirm an official Android edition. In 2024, LEVEL UP described Game Science as not working on a mobile version at that time and warned readers away from purported Android downloads. No developer confirmation of a smartphone release appears in the reports covered here.

What did the Chinese modder reports show?
The unverified 2024 Android video
LEVEL UP reported that a video circulating online allegedly showed the PC game on an Android phone with an Adreno 750 GPU, associated with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The article said the project was unverified and performance was extremely poor. It also warned that scam download links were circulating and urged readers not to download purported Android versions. There is no basis in that report for treating the video as proof of a working, generally available mobile port. Avoid APKs or other downloads advertised as the game’s Android release.
The 2025 Winlator test on a RedMagic phone
A separate report published by Mobile Gamer Brasil on May 28, 2025, described Geekerwan running the PC game locally on a RedMagic 10S Pro+ with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Edition. The setup used Winlator, a compatibility and translation layer for running Windows games on Android—not a native Android edition or the separate emulator expected from Nubia. The report notes driver limitations. Read Mobile Gamer Brasil’s account.

For that test, the report says DirectX 11 was forced, resolution was set to 1600×720, graphics quality was low and NXSR was set to 50%. Lighter scenes exceeded 40 frames per second, according to this report of Geekerwan’s test; action and shader loading caused stutters. These are observations from one reported setup, not independently reproduced benchmarks or a guarantee for other phones.
The RedMagic 10S Pro+ is the specific phone named in the test, not a recommendation or assurance that buying it will make the game work reliably. Winlator setups, drivers and device compatibility can vary.

How local running, cloud play and remote play differ
| Route | Where the game runs | What the reports establish | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Experimental local run | On the Android phone, through Winlator and a Windows-game compatibility setup | One 2025 report describes a RedMagic 10S Pro+ test at low settings and 1600×720; lighter scenes exceeded 40 frames per second, with stutters in action and during shader loading. Source | Special setup and device-specific compatibility; the reported test was not consistently smooth. |
| Cloud gaming | On a remote gaming service; the phone receives a stream | A 2024 hands-on review found phone cloud play playable but did not recommend it, citing input lag, image quality, network dependence, small-screen limits and touch controls. Those are the reviewer’s observations, not universal measurements. Source | Depends on network conditions and the service’s current regional and device support. |
| Remote play | On your own PC or console, with video streamed to the phone | A 2026 AirDroid guide describes Steam Link and PS Remote Play as phone routes; neither means the game is executing on the phone. Source | Requires an appropriate host PC or console, network access and compatible software. |
A 2024 guide also described cloud play and remote streaming as ways to access the game on a phone. At the time it said START’s Android and web clients were in testing, while PC, TV and Mac were supported; that is historical information, not a statement of current service availability. Read the guide.

If you only have a phone
Cloud gaming is the route that does not require you to own a gaming PC or console, provided a service currently offers the game in your region and supports your device. Check the service’s current catalogue, subscription requirements, supported store and regional availability before signing up. A 2026 vendor guide also lists GeForce Now, but service support and availability can change; verify those details directly with the provider. AirDroid’s guide.

A 17173 article recorded the reader question, “I only have a phone, can I play Black Myth: Wukong?” The practical answer is that phone-only access depends on a currently available cloud service; the local Winlator test does not establish a dependable phone-only solution. See the 17173 article.
If you own a gaming PC or console
Remote play can stream from your own machine. Steam Link streams from a PC, while PS Remote Play streams from a PlayStation console; neither moves the game’s processing to the phone. Check current app, device and network requirements with the relevant platform before setting up. An external Bluetooth controller can improve control, as the AirDroid guide notes, but it does not fix compatibility problems in a local Winlator setup. AirDroid’s guide.

If you want to experiment with local execution
The 2025 report is evidence of a particular test, not a ready-made installation path for ordinary Android users. It involved a named high-end phone, Winlator, a forced graphics API and substantially reduced resolution and quality settings. Because the report also notes driver limitations and stuttering, it should not be read as broad Android compatibility. No step-by-step setup or dependable device list is established by that account.
What to expect from streaming on a small screen
Streaming avoids trying to execute this demanding PC game on Android, but it introduces its own constraints. In one 2024 hands-on review, the reviewer found cloud play playable but not worth recommending because of input lag, image quality, reliance on a good network, the phone’s small display and touch controls. Those are that reviewer’s impressions, not measured limits that apply to every service, connection or phone. Read the cloud-play review.
Remote play has a similar dependence on a network, while also requiring a PC or console to host the game. In either streaming route, a controller may make combat easier than touch input; it will not remove network latency or make the game a native phone app.
