Yes, Call of Duty: Mobile can be launched on Windows through GameLoop’s CODM listing—but the “official” label needs qualification. GameLoop describes itself as the official emulator and provides a PC installation route, while Activision’s current support documentation says that Call of Duty: Mobile does not support emulators. Emulator players are placed in a separate matchmaking pool rather than freely mixed with ordinary mobile players.
This information was checked on August 18, 2026. GameLoop’s catalog data, regional editions, and compatibility may change.

What GameLoop actually is
GameLoop is a Tencent-developed Android emulator for Windows. Its Call of Duty: Mobile listing attributes the game to Activision Publishing, Inc., provides keyboard-mapping controls, and describes GameLoop as the official emulator for the title. CODM also appears in GameLoop’s general catalog.
That is GameLoop’s own description, not an unqualified Activision endorsement. Activision’s current support page says that Call of Duty: Mobile does not support the use of emulators. The safest wording is therefore: GameLoop is the emulator promoted by its operator for CODM, but emulator play is not clearly described as a supported platform by Activision.

Is Call of Duty: Mobile cross-play on PC?
Not in the usual sense. CODM does not offer unrestricted cross-play between Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows emulators, consoles, and standard PC versions of Call of Duty.
Activision’s emulator matchmaking explanation indicates that players using native device controls are matched with other native-control players, while emulator users are matched with emulator users. A mobile player who parties with an emulator user may be routed into the emulator matchmaking pool.
That means GameLoop can provide emulator-to-emulator matchmaking, but it should not be marketed as ordinary mobile-to-PC cross-play. A phone friend may be able to join a party with a PC emulator player, but the group’s matchmaking environment can change, and behavior may vary by region, edition, and game build.
How to install CODM on PC with GameLoop
This is the installation path shown by GameLoop, not an Activision-guaranteed support procedure:
- Download GameLoop from its official website.
- Run the Windows
.exeinstaller. - Open GameLoop after installation.
- Search for Call of Duty: Mobile.
- Select the listing attributed to Activision Publishing, Inc. Check that it is the edition intended for your region.
- Click Install.
- Allow GameLoop to download the emulator files, game client, updates, and additional resources.
- Launch CODM and sign in with the account method associated with your existing progress.
- Open GameLoop’s key-mapping controls and review the keyboard layout before entering a match.
When the installation works, CODM opens inside GameLoop’s Android environment. Keyboard controls may be preconfigured, but you should test movement, aiming, firing, menus, and voice or chat controls before playing competitively.

Do not assume that every current mobile update will immediately be available or compatible. The GameLoop page displayed version 1.0.53 with a listed update date of December 17, 2025 when checked for this article. That does not prove it was the latest live mobile version on August 18, 2026.
GameLoop PC requirements
The global GameLoop CODM listing showed these specifications:
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors| Minimum shown | Recommended shown | |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 8.1 64-bit or Windows 10 64-bit | Windows 8.1 64-bit or Windows 10 64-bit |
| Processor | Intel i3-9320 | Intel i3-9320 |
| Graphics | GTX 660 | GTX 1050 |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Storage displayed | 20 MB | 20 MB |
Do not treat the displayed 20 MB figure as the realistic total installation size. It is likely catalog or launcher metadata rather than the space required for the emulator, base game, updates, maps, textures, and optional resources. GameLoop’s separate Garena listing displayed 3 GB instead, showing that storage metadata varies by listing and edition.
Keep substantially more free disk space than the catalog number suggests. The live installer is the practical authority. Optional high-definition resources, maps, weapons, and operators can increase the download footprint; GameLoop’s regional CODM page also describes additional optional content.
A PC that meets the listed minimum may still need reduced graphics settings or experience stutter. Performance depends on CPU virtualization, GPU drivers, RAM, thermals, background programs, and the assets downloaded by the current game build.

Global and Garena editions are not interchangeable
GameLoop exposes different CODM listings. The global listing is attributed to Activision Publishing, Inc.; the Garena listing is attributed to Garena Mobile Private. They can show different version numbers, update dates, storage figures, regional availability, servers, and store behavior.

Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Before installing, verify that you are selecting the edition associated with your region and account. Do not assume that progress, pricing, promotions, matchmaking, or availability transfers between global and Garena versions. Activision’s region-change guidance also warns that changing a registered region is not a way to obtain different prices or improve performance, and regional promotions may be restricted.
Native mobile play is the clearly documented route
Activision’s February 25, 2026 support information lists native CODM support for:
- Android: Android 6.0 or later and at least 2 GB RAM.
- iOS: iOS 15.0 or later and at least 2 GB RAM.
These are the clearly documented platforms. Activision presents CODM as an iOS and Android game, not as a conventional Windows release distributed through Steam, Battle.net, or a standalone native PC client.
Native mobile play is the better choice if you prioritize policy certainty, predictable updates, and avoiding emulator detection or compatibility issues.

Could a controller be a better alternative?
If your main goal is physical controls or a larger-screen setup, you may not need an emulator. Activision’s controller support information documents controller use in Multiplayer and Battle Royale. It lists official Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S controllers and DualShock 4 controllers among supported devices, with wired or Bluetooth pairing depending on the device.
The distinction is important:
- Native mobile plus a supported controller: the documented mobile route, with controller-based matchmaking rules.
- Windows emulator plus keyboard and mouse: emulator matchmaking, plus the conflict between GameLoop’s marketing and Activision’s support wording.
- Screen mirroring or remote-control software: not a native PC client and potentially subject to latency or compatibility problems.
A supported controller is the more conservative option for players who want physical controls without adding emulator-policy uncertainty. It will not provide the same mouse-aim experience as keyboard and mouse.

CODM does not appear or will not update
- Confirm that the installer came from the official GameLoop domain.
- Restart GameLoop and check for emulator updates.
- Check whether the CODM listing has received the current game update.
- Verify that you installed the correct global or Garena edition.
- Repair or reinstall the game from the GameLoop catalog if the launcher repeatedly fails.
A version mismatch between GameLoop and the live mobile client can make an otherwise adequate PC appear broken. Reinstalling is a recovery step, not proof that the emulator is supported or that account enforcement cannot occur.
Black screen, crashing, or severe stutter
- Restart the emulator and close unnecessary background applications.
- Update graphics drivers and check that hardware virtualization is enabled where required by your system.
- Reduce resolution, frame rate, and graphics quality.
- Clear the game’s cached data through the emulator settings.
- Repair or reinstall CODM if the problem began after an update.
Community discussions include anecdotal reports of black screens and update-related failures, but those reports are not official confirmation of a universal GameLoop defect. Do not install modified clients or “anti-detection” tools to work around them.

Controls are missing or incorrect
Open GameLoop’s key-mapping interface, restore or review the default layout, then test controls in a noncompetitive environment. A working keyboard map does not change the game’s emulator matchmaking or Activision’s support position.

Login or enforcement problems
Use Activision’s official support path if the account cannot sign in or the game reports an enforcement action. Avoid unofficial APKs, modified clients, scripts, account-selling services, VPNs intended to obtain cheaper COD Points, and anti-detection utilities. There is no reliable basis for claiming that a guest account, reinstall, or emulator setting prevents a ban.
What should you choose?
| Your priority | Best-fit route | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum policy certainty and reliable updates | Native Android or iOS | This is the clearly documented platform route. |
| Physical controls without keyboard-and-mouse requirements | Native mobile with a supported controller | Avoids the emulator-policy ambiguity. |
| Keyboard-and-mouse controls on Windows | GameLoop, cautiously | It provides the advertised route, but support and update parity are not guaranteed. |
| A fully supported PC-native Call of Duty | A standard PC Call of Duty release | CODM is a separate mobile product; its content and progression should not be assumed to carry over. |
GameLoop may be worth considering if you accept emulator-only matchmaking, possible update and compatibility problems, and Activision’s explicit “does not support emulators” wording. Download only from the official GameLoop domain and keep expectations realistic.
For the lowest-risk recommendation, play CODM natively on Android or iOS. Add a supported controller if you want physical controls. Use GameLoop only when keyboard-and-mouse play is important enough to justify the policy ambiguity and troubleshooting burden.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I play Call of Duty: Mobile with a phone friend from GameLoop?
Possibly, but do not expect unrestricted cross-play. A party containing an emulator user may be routed into emulator matchmaking, where emulator players are matched together.
Is GameLoop officially supported by Activision?
GameLoop’s own website calls itself the official CODM emulator, but Activision’s current support documentation says CODM does not support emulators. Those statements should not be treated as equivalent.
Will GameLoop get my CODM account banned?
The available documentation does not justify a definitive yes-or-no claim for every account or situation. Avoid modified clients, scripts, anti-detection tools, and other unofficial workarounds, and contact Activision support for account-specific enforcement questions.
Is Call of Duty: Mobile available as a native Windows game?
No conventional Steam, Battle.net, or standalone native Windows CODM client is established here. GameLoop runs the mobile game inside an Android emulator.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: GameLoop is a commonly presented Windows route for Call of Duty: Mobile, but “official emulator” is GameLoop’s claim, while Activision currently says emulators are not supported. Expect emulator-only matchmaking, possible update issues, and no guarantee of unrestricted play with mobile users. Native Android or iOS remains the clearest supported option; a supported controller is the safer physical-control alternative.
