On handheld compatibility, Steam currently marks the game Unsupported on Steam Deck. Pearl Abyss names the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X in a performance notice, but its measurements were taken while the devices were plugged in and using Turbo mode—not on battery or across every handheld. Does Crimson Desert have co-op?
No. Steam identifies Crimson Desert as single-player, and its listed features do not include co-op or multiplayer. There is no official co-op mode to play on Steam Deck, an ROG handheld, or another device. [Steam store listing]
Can you play Crimson Desert on Steam Deck?
Steam currently labels Crimson Desert Unsupported on Steam Deck. That is the official compatibility status shown on its Steam listing; it is not a promise that the game will launch or play reliably through workarounds. Store compatibility labels can change, so check the listing again if you are making a later purchase decision. [Steam listing and Deck status]
What about ROG Xbox Ally and other handheld PCs?
Pearl Abyss names the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X in its performance notice. Its measurements were taken with each device plugged into power and set to Turbo mode. The notice cautions that performance can vary with hardware, software configuration, and graphics settings. [Pearl Abyss performance notice, March 10, 2026 UTC]

- Wi-Fi 6E
- 50Whr battery; 3-12 hours of gameplay (content-dependent)
- Carrying case with removable liner
This supports a narrowly qualified statement: Pearl Abyss measured the game on those named Ally models under those conditions. It does not establish the same performance on battery, in a different power profile, or on a Steam Deck, Lenovo Legion Go, or another handheld. The accessible notice does not provide a device-specific frame-rate figure, so there is no grounded number to use as a general performance estimate.
Windows handhelds are not automatically supported just because they run Windows. If considering one, distinguish an official test or compatibility status from the possibility that the game may run, and account for the exact model, power mode, graphics settings, and acceptable image quality or frame rate.

Could you stream it to a handheld instead?
Pearl Abyss lists GeForce NOW among the game’s available platforms, alongside console, PC, and Mac storefronts. Cloud streaming is different from installing and rendering the game locally on a handheld: the game runs on a remote service and streams to your device. The platform listing establishes GeForce NOW availability, not native Steam Deck support or equivalent local performance.
