Can you play Elden Ring on a phone?
Bandai Namco’s official Elden Ring platform list names Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC; it does not list iOS or Android. That means the publisher does not currently list a native phone edition. This is a statement about the official listing, not a claim that unofficial workarounds cannot exist.
The publisher describes Elden Ring as an open-world action RPG and lists single-player and online modes. Its substantial audience does not establish mobile-market demand: Bandai Namco reported more than 30 million units sold in 2026, in an announcement about the Switch 2 edition and additional content—not as a mobile gaming statistic.

These are distinct routes: the Switch 2 option is a console edition, while Steam Deck runs the PC version. There are no two verified native-phone editions to compare. Confirm regional store availability and current compatibility on the Bandai Namco Switch 2 announcement and the Steam listing before buying.

What to know about controls
Controller input is part of the documented experience: Bandai Namco’s starter guide includes controller settings and button mappings, and Steam lists “Full Controller Support.” Those facts apply to the listed game versions; they do not establish that a particular phone, controller, or streaming setup is compatible.

Unless Bandai Namco updates its platform listings or announces a mobile edition, the accurate answer is that a native phone version is not officially listed.
