No. The official listings checked show Honkai: Star Rail on PS5, not PS4. HoYoverse’s current platform list names PC, iOS, Android, Epic Games Store and PS5, with no PS4 version listed. If you want to play on a PlayStation console, the listed option is PS5; PC and mobile are alternatives.
Is Honkai: Star Rail available on PS4?
No PS4 version is listed or confirmed by the official sources checked. The PlayStation Store page identifies the game as a PS5 title, while HoYoverse’s February 6, 2026 platform announcement lists PC, iOS, Android, Epic Games Store and PS5—not PS4.
This describes the published platform information, not a guarantee that a PS4 release could never be announced. The official information cited here does not establish why some players expected PS4 availability.
Where can you play instead?
| Platform | Availability in HoYoverse’s February 6, 2026 list | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| PS5 | Listed | The PlayStation Store page lists the game as free, dates its PlayStation release to October 10, 2023, and says online play is required. In-game purchases are optional. PlayStation Store |
| PC | Listed | HoYoverse includes PC among the available platforms. HoYoverse announcement |
| iOS and Android | Listed | HoYoverse includes both mobile platforms. HoYoverse announcement |
| Epic Games Store | Listed | HoYoverse includes the Epic Games Store. HoYoverse announcement |
| PS4 | Not listed | No PS4 version is confirmed by the official sources cited here. |
So a PS5 is needed only if you specifically want to play on a PlayStation console. The game is free-to-play on the PlayStation listing, and HoYoverse lists PC and mobile options as well; buying a PS5 is not necessary for every player.
