Hypixel’s official instructions document joining with a legitimate Minecraft Java Edition account on PC or Mac, using the server address mc.hypixel.net. They do not confirm whether TLauncher is supported or permitted when used with an owned account, so there is no official basis to promise that it will work. Hypixel also says pirated copies are blocked.
What Hypixel officially supports
Hypixel’s joining guide requires a Minecraft account for PC/Mac, commonly called Java Edition. It says Windows 10, Pocket Edition, and console versions will not work, and that pirated copies are blocked. Hypixel directs players who need the game to download it from the official Minecraft website. See Hypixel’s joining instructions, updated March 20, 2025.
The guide does not name TLauncher. Hypixel’s published materials cited here therefore do not establish that TLauncher is compatible, endorsed, or categorically prohibited when it authenticates a player’s own legitimate Java account. Do not treat a launcher-specific outcome as guaranteed; use the official Minecraft launcher route if you want to follow Hypixel’s documented instructions.
How to join Hypixel using the documented route
- Use a legitimate Minecraft Java Edition account for PC or Mac. Hypixel’s guide says other listed editions, including Windows 10, Pocket Edition, and console, will not work.
- Install and open Minecraft Java Edition from the official Minecraft website.
- From the game menu, open Multiplayer and choose the option to add a server.
- Enter
mc.hypixel.netas the server address, save the entry, then select it and join.
The address and sequence above follow Hypixel’s official joining guide.

If you are considering TLauncher
Launcher choice does not change Hypixel’s stated edition, account, or anti-piracy requirements. Before entering account details into any launcher, check these points:
- Account: Does it authenticate your own legitimate Java account? Hypixel’s Terms of Service describe access through a Microsoft Account; they do not, in the material cited here, confirm a TLauncher-specific process. Read the Hypixel Terms of Service.
- Source and permissions: Obtain software only from its genuine publisher and review what credentials or permissions it requests. The Hypixel documentation cited here does not verify TLauncher’s publisher, security, or account-handling practices.
- Support: Hypixel’s joining guide explains the official server route but does not list TLauncher as a supported launcher. If the setup fails, the documented route is the official Minecraft Java launcher.
Keep your account and game access safe
Hypixel advises players to protect account information, check URLs, and enable two-factor authentication. Type official account addresses such as account.microsoft.com or minecraft.net directly rather than following unfamiliar login links. Hypixel also warns against downloading “free” or “exclusive” mods from strangers or random videos. Its guidance is available in How to Keep Your Account Secure on Hypixel and Hypixel SkyBlock Security Measures.

They do not establish that using TLauncher alone automatically results in a ban. Review the Hypixel Server Rules before using modifications or automation.
