Legend II is catchable only while the Extended Family special order is active. Fish for it in the Mountain Lake with fishing level 10; while the quest is active, it can appear in any season, at any time, and in any weather.
How to unlock Legend II
Legend II is a Legendary Fish II tied to Qi’s Extended Family quest, not a permanent fish unlock earned by reaching a milestone. To access the quest, first unlock Ginger Island and enter Qi’s Walnut Room. When Extended Family is available, select it from the special orders board. The order lasts three days and asks you to catch five fish.

- Unlock Ginger Island and gain access to Qi’s Walnut Room.
- Select Extended Family when it appears among the special orders.
- Catch the five requested fish before the three-day deadline: Ms. Angler, Glacierfish Jr., Son of Crimsonfish, Radioactive Carp, and Legend II.
Where and when to catch Legend II
Fish in the Mountain Lake, the same location as the original Legend. During Extended Family, Legend II has no seasonal, time-of-day, or weather restriction. You do not need to wait for spring or rain.
Fishing level and catching more than one
You need fishing level 10 to hook Legend II. If your base level is lower, a temporary fishing buff can raise it to the required level. More than one Legend II can be caught while Extended Family remains active, so keep fishing there if you want additional catches.

Unlike the original legendary fish, Legend II’s fishing bar is not distinctly marked. Identify the catch by the fish itself rather than expecting the original Legend’s special bar appearance.

Both have a fishing level requirement of 10. Legend II is the quest-family counterpart, not another way to permanently unlock the original Legend. Catching Legendary Fish II is not required for the Master Angler achievement.
