You can’t reliably play any unsupported game on GeForce NOW. The supported options are to play a Ready-to-Play title or, for eligible Steam games, use Install-to-Play when the publisher has opted in to Steam Cloud Gaming. Check the current GeForce NOW app for the exact game: if it appears in neither category, the sources available do not establish a supported way to force it onto the service.
How to check whether a game is supported

Search for the exact title in the GeForce NOW app. The catalog can change, so an old guide or list may not reflect current availability. NVIDIA’s How to Play page explains the Ready-to-Play and Install-to-Play routes.

If the title appears as Ready-to-Play, follow the app’s instructions to connect the relevant supported store account and sign in. You must own or purchase the game from a supported store; ownership by itself does not make a game streamable. See NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW FAQ.

If the game has an Install-to-Play label, check that it is in your Steam library and that you meet the feature’s membership and storage requirements. NVIDIA’s FAQ describes the feature and how to find eligible games in the app.

If it appears in neither route, request support through NVIDIA’s feedback channels or use a gaming platform that officially supports the title. The listed NVIDIA sources do not establish a current supported workaround for that game.

What Install-to-Play does—and does not—allow
Install-to-Play is the closest current option for some games outside the Ready-to-Play catalog, but it is not an open installer for any PC game. NVIDIA says eligible games must be in your Steam library and their publishers must opt in to Steam Cloud Gaming. The feature is limited to premium members according to NVIDIA’s FAQ. Availability and requirements can vary by title and region, so use the app and the current NVIDIA FAQ to confirm the details for your account.

Why old “Manage Steam” instructions may mislead
An older NVIDIA Quick Start Guide described installing unsupported Steam games through “Manage Steam.” It also warned that those games lacked optimal settings, had to be installed again in each session, and did not have the same persistence conveniences. That historical guide is not confirmation that the workflow remains supported today. NVIDIA’s current feature guidance instead describes Install-to-Play as a publisher-opt-in program.
A game being installable through a launcher or an old menu does not make it an officially supported GeForce NOW title. NVIDIA’s Terms of Use prohibit unauthorized use, including attempts to access areas or download software or materials not intended for users. Avoid scripts, exploits, account workarounds, or attempts to bypass service controls.

Why owning the game is not enough
GeForce NOW streams games through supported catalog and store routes; it is not a general-purpose remote PC where you can install any game you own. NVIDIA’s overview describes the service’s supported store connections, and its FAQ says you need to own or purchase a title from a supported store before playing. The title must also be available through a supported GeForce NOW route.
