Yes. You can add an unlisted YouTube gaming livestream replay (VOD) to a playlist. The replay’s visibility and the playlist’s visibility are separate settings, so choose each based on how you want viewers to find and share it.
How to add an unlisted gaming VOD to a playlist
- In YouTube Studio, open Content, then select the Live tab.
- Open the livestream replay, change Visibility to Unlisted, and save.
- Add the replay to the playlist you want to use.
- In Studio, open Content > Playlists, choose the playlist, open Details, and set the playlist’s visibility to Public, Unlisted, or Private.
- Share the playlist link with viewers who should access it. Anyone who has an unlisted video or playlist link can watch and share it. YouTube says viewers do not need a Google Account to watch an unlisted video from its link.
Choose visibility for the audience you want

YouTube notes that playlist privacy features may not be available for supervised accounts. Check the current controls in Studio if you cannot change a playlist’s visibility.
What happens when the replay is unlisted but the playlist is public?
The replay can remain unlisted and still be included in a public playlist. Unlisted videos normally do not appear in YouTube search, but YouTube states that an unlisted video may appear there if someone adds it to a public playlist. A public playlist can therefore expose the replay through playlist-based discovery.
If you want link-only access for the collection, make the playlist unlisted too. An unlisted link is not a confidentiality boundary: anyone who receives it can pass it along. For restricted access, use Private and select the intended viewers where available.

If the livestream replay is missing
YouTube says a channel may post highlights or a replay after a livestream ends; its live-stream help page does not promise that every stream is automatically archived. First check whether a replay exists in Studio under Content > Live. If there is no replay or video to manage, there is nothing to add to the playlist yet.
Copyright still applies to unlisted VODs
Unlisted status does not remove copyright obligations or prevent YouTube review. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, and a Content ID claim may be made after a stream ends if you archive the video. Unlisted or public status is not immunity from copyright, ad-suitability, or abuse-prevention review.
