Yes. Once you unlock a Relic in Black Ops 7 Zombies, you can select that modifier again in later Cursed matches. The Relic remains available for replay, while an unfinished first-time Relic Trial does not survive a save-and-quit. You keep the completed unlock, can earn Cursed Survival rewards such as Relic Charms, and may let teammates help during the run. However, the available documentation does not confirm that every co-op participant receives permanent account credit when one player completes a trial.
What “replaying a Relic challenge” means
A Relic is a modifier used in the Cursed Zombies experience. Activision describes the system this way: “Activate these Relics to face harder challenges in exchange for new levels of power, replayability, and rewards.” In practical terms, there are two different activities that players often call a Relic challenge:

- First-time acquisition: completing the side quest and Relic Trial that unlocks a Relic.
- Later replay: selecting an already-unlocked Relic for another Cursed match to impose the same rules again.
Those activities have different persistence rules. The completed Relic is retained and can be selected again. Progress toward an acquisition attempt is temporary and must be finished in one sitting.

Can an unlocked Relic be used again?
Yes. An unlocked Relic remains available for subsequent Cursed runs. Season 02 patch notes specifically describe choosing unlocked Relics on existing round-based maps in Cursed Survival, where players can also earn Relic Charms. Replaying therefore does not mean repeating the unlock quest every time. You are applying the same modifier to a new match.

The sources describe replayability qualitatively, not as a stated number of permitted attempts. No authoritative source gives a per-Relic cap, cooldown, or maximum number of replays. Unless a later in-game notice changes the system, the safe interpretation is that an earned Relic can be selected whenever the relevant Cursed mode and map support it.

What resets when you save and quit?
The important reset applies to an unfinished acquisition attempt. Community references report that the side quest and Relic Trial must be completed in one sitting, and that portal-quest progress is not tracked through saved games. If you save and quit before the trial is complete, plan to restart that attempt from the beginning when you return.
This does not mean the game removes a Relic you already unlocked. The available information distinguishes lost in-progress work from a completed account-level unlock. Once the game has awarded the Relic, later Cursed matches can use it again; quitting a subsequent run does not turn an earned Relic back into a locked one.

- Set aside enough uninterrupted time to finish the portal quest and trial.
- Agree with your squad on who is attempting the requirement and who is handling support.
- Do not treat a save-and-quit as a checkpoint for the acquisition sequence.
- Record the map, mode and current seasonal rules, because requirements can change in later patches.
If you quit accidentally
- Return to the same Zombies menu and verify whether the Relic is shown as unlocked.
- If the Relic is unlocked, select it in a new supported Cursed match; only the abandoned run was lost.
- If it is still locked, assume the portal quest and trial must be repeated from the beginning.
- Check the game’s current objective text before attempting the requirement again, since seasonal updates can alter conditions.
How to replay an unlocked Relic
The exact menu wording can vary by season, but the process is straightforward:
- Confirm the unlock. Look for the Relic in the game’s Relic selection or collection screen. Do not rely solely on having reached the portal; the unlock should be shown as completed.
- Enter a supported Cursed activity. Season 02 notes refer to Cursed Survival on existing round-based maps. Choose the map and Cursed mode in which Relic selection is offered.
- Choose the Relic. Select the unlocked modifier before launching the match. A locked entry indicates that the acquisition has not registered for the account hosting the selection.
- Play the modified run. The Relic changes the rules or difficulty of that match. It does not restart the original acquisition quest.
- Finish or leave normally. Rewards earned in the Cursed run are separate from the permanent unlock. If you are pursuing another first-time Relic, start that trial only when you can complete it without saving and quitting.
If an unlocked Relic is missing from the selection list, first check that you are in a Cursed activity and on a map that supports Relics. Then verify that the account showing the menu completed the trial. A teammate’s completion is not automatically proof that every squad member received permanent ownership.

What rewards do Relic runs provide?
Permanent Relic access
The primary reward for a successful trial is the Relic itself. Its value is repeat access: after the unlock is recorded, you can use that modifier in later eligible Cursed matches rather than repeating the acquisition sequence.
Relic Charms in Cursed Survival
Season 02 patch notes identify Relic Charms among the rewards for surviving with Relics selected in Cursed Survival. These are mode rewards earned while playing a Relic-modified run; they are not described as replacing the Relic unlock.
Reliquary Calling Card completion
Windows Central reports a collection reward tied to the Ashes of the Damned Relics. Completing the final Ashes of the Damned Relic awards that Relic and, when the other eight are already unlocked, completes the Reliquary Calling Card challenge. This is a collection milestone rather than a reward granted for every replay.

There is no published universal completion-rate statistic or official numeric limit on how many times a completed Relic Trial may be replayed. Do not infer either figure from individual player reports.
Can friends help in co-op?
Yes, teammates can participate in the same Relic activity. A community Relic reference states that squad members can still revive a downed player during Relic activity, so a failed down does not automatically require the team to abandon the run. Co-op support is especially useful for requirements that combine survival, movement and combat pressure.

Requirements that explicitly allow squad assistance
At least one documented requirement is squad-friendly. The Druid Stone guide says that in a multiplayer game, only one player needs to reach Round 20 without taking zombie damage for that requirement. That wording means the condition is not necessarily imposed independently on every teammate. Because Relic objectives can be patched, read the current in-game objective rather than assuming every trial uses the same rule.

What co-op does not establish
The available official and guide material does not clearly state whether every participant receives a permanent account-level Relic unlock when one player completes the trial. Treat in-run assistance and permanent ownership as separate questions:
- In-run assistance: teammates can join, revive and help satisfy squad-friendly requirements.
- Permanent credit: do not promise that everyone receives the Relic unless the game displays the unlock for each account or Activision publishes a direct confirmation.
For a group that wants every player to own the Relic, the safest plan is for each account to verify the unlock after the run and, if necessary, host or complete its own qualifying attempt. This avoids assuming that the party leader’s completion is shared automatically.
A practical co-op plan
- Identify the credited player. Decide whose account must show the Relic after the trial.
- Read the current objective aloud. Separate conditions that apply to one designated player from conditions that apply to the whole squad.
- Keep the run continuous. Do not save and quit while the acquisition sequence is active.
- Use revives strategically. Teammates can revive a downed player during Relic activity, but a revive does not erase a requirement that already failed, such as taking zombie damage.
- Verify ownership before leaving the group. Check the Relic list on each account rather than relying on a completion banner seen by one player.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
Confusing a replay with a new unlock attempt
Selecting an earned Relic for Cursed Survival is a replay. It should not be treated as a fresh trial, and it does not require redoing the portal quest. Conversely, reaching a portal without completing the trial does not create a reusable modifier.
Assuming saved games preserve portal progress
They do not, according to the available community references. Schedule the first attempt as a single session and restart the entire acquisition sequence if a save-and-quit interrupts it.

Assuming every map and mode supports every Relic
Season 02 documentation specifically discusses existing round-based maps in Cursed Survival. Availability can be mode- and map-dependent, so an absent selection may be a compatibility issue rather than a lost unlock.
Assuming the reward is only cosmetic
The Relic is functional access to a modifier, while Relic Charms and the Reliquary Calling Card are separate reward categories. Check which objective you completed before deciding what should appear in your account.
Assuming co-op completion is automatically shared
Participation and permanent ownership are not the same. Until the game confirms shared credit, have each player verify the Relic on their own account.
Patch and season caveats
Relic requirements, supported activities and rewards can change with seasonal updates. The Relic Charm information comes from Season 02 patch notes, while the collection reward concerns the Ashes of the Damned Relics. When explaining a specific requirement to another player, name the map, mode and patch context instead of presenting it as a universal rule.
The durable rule is the distinction between completed and incomplete work: an earned Relic is replayable, but an unfinished acquisition attempt should be treated as one-session content. For anything more specific—such as the exact co-op credit behavior or a newly changed objective—trust the current in-game notice or a direct Activision statement over an older guide.
Bottom line for BO7 Zombies players
Unlock a Relic once, and you can select it again in later eligible Cursed matches. The modifier persists; an unfinished portal quest and Relic Trial do not persist through save-and-quit. Cursed Survival can provide Relic Charms, and completing the final Ashes of the Damned Relic can finish the Reliquary Calling Card collection when the other eight are already unlocked. Friends can help during the run, including revives and certain squad-friendly requirements, but permanent Relic ownership for every participant remains unconfirmed unless the game explicitly records it for each account.
