Linking an Epic Games account to MyDisney now will not unlock it through that offer. Epic says the Outfit may be sold in the Fortnite Shop in the future, but it has not confirmed a current listing or sale date.
Why the free offer no longer works
Epic Games Support confirms that the promotion concluded on October 31, 2025, and that it is no longer possible to receive the Outfit through the promotion. The offer was a digital Fortnite cosmetic—not a physical Star Wars product. Epic Games Support’s promotion status is the current source for its end date.

How the promotion worked
When Epic announced the offer on April 29, 2025, eligible players could unlock the First Order Stormtrooper Outfit by linking their Epic Games and MyDisney accounts. The promotion was part of Fortnite’s Star Wars collaboration during the Fortnite: GALACTIC BATTLE season, alongside the in-game premiere of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld. Epic’s Star Wars collaboration announcement describes the original offer.
The Fortnite blog’s historical instructions said to begin linking from Epic’s login page or the “Apps and Accounts” settings, and its search listing indicated the offer was later extended through October 31, 2025. Those steps do not provide a way to claim the Outfit now: the offer has ended. The historical offer was described as requiring an eligible MyDisney account; the available official information does not establish that a Disney+ subscription was required.

Could the Outfit return to the Fortnite Shop?
Possibly, but Epic has not confirmed that the Outfit is currently for sale or announced a date for a future sale. Support says only that it “may be purchasable in the Fortnite Shop at a later date.” Treat that as a possibility, not a promise or an active offer. Check Fortnite’s official Shop for a listing rather than relying on claims of a confirmed return.

If you linked accounts after October 31, 2025, the promotion had already ended, so the link does not qualify for the reward. Epic’s support notice also does not establish a current alternative method to claim it. Avoid third-party “free skin” offers or account sales: neither is an official way to receive the Outfit through the expired promotion.
Quick Recap
Best Value
- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.
