No—not as an account-to-account transfer. Sony’s guidance does not describe a way to move digital purchases, add-ons, wallet funds, or account ownership to a different PlayStation account. Some features let you access purchases on another console, move eligible data between consoles, or continue a save under the same account, but they do not transfer a purchase to a new account.

Sony’s Store instructions describe downloading games and add-ons from the signed-in account’s Game Library under Purchased. Its US terms also say that calling content a “purchase” or referring to “ownership” does not mean ownership of content, data, software, or intellectual property transfers to a user or third party: PlayStation Network Terms of Service.

If you want another user to play your games on your console
PS5: Console Sharing and Offline Play
Enable Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Console Sharing and Offline Play on the PS5. Other users on that console can play eligible games and media that the purchasing account has downloaded. Sony allows this setting on one PS5 at a time. This shares access on a console; it does not change which account owns the purchase. See Sony’s PS5 Console Sharing and Offline Play instructions.
PS4: Activate a primary PS4
On PS4, the comparable option is activating the console as the purchasing account’s primary PS4. Sony also allows certain PlayStation Plus benefits to be shared on one enabled PS5 and one primary PS4. The exclusions matter: another account cannot redeem Plus games, and online storage is not a shareable benefit. If you are changing consoles but keeping the same account
That is a console migration, not an account transfer. Sony’s PS4/PS5-to-PS5 transfer instructions require signing into the same account on the source and destination consoles. They describe copying eligible data to a PS5, not moving purchases to a separate account. Follow the relevant PS4/PS5 data transfer instructions.
Moving saved data with PlayStation Plus cloud storage
PlayStation Plus cloud storage lets you upload and download saved data between consoles. This can help you continue playing on another console under the relevant account; Sony’s instructions do not establish a way to convert a save for use by a different account. Pay attention to the save type and how the game is played: Sony distinguishes PS4 and PS5 saved data, and downloaded games from streamed games. Check the instructions for the game and console involved before relying on a save being available through the same method.
Wallet funds and gift cards
Sony’s US PlayStation Terms of Service, section 7.3, state: “FUNDS ADDED TO THE PLAYSTATION STORE WALLET ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE EXCEPT WHERE THE LAW REQUIRES.” That wording applies to the cited US terms, not necessarily every country’s rules. Sony’s US payment page explains that adult accounts have an online wallet and that gift cards can add funds to it: Add funds to your PlayStation Store wallet. Adding a gift card to a second account funds that wallet; it does not move the balance or purchases from the first account.

Choose the option that matches your situation
- New console, same account: sign in to the purchasing account to access its Game Library; use console transfer where supported and cloud storage for saves if eligible.
- Another local user on the same console: use Console Sharing and Offline Play on PS5 or primary PS4 activation for eligible access. The purchase stays with the buying account.
- A separate or newly created account: Sony’s cited guidance does not document migrating purchases or wallet balances into it. That account may need its own purchases or funding.
These console, library, and cloud-storage instructions come from Sony support pages for the US, Canada, and the Philippines; workflows and legal terms can vary by region. The wallet terms above are specifically from Sony’s US site. For family-account changes, a compromised account, a mistaken purchase, or a country-specific legal issue, contact PlayStation Support rather than assuming a transfer is available.
