Usually, no: Roblox does not document a universal player setting for turning off auto-jump across all experiences. The behavior is tied to mobile touch controls, and each experience’s developer decides whether to disable it or offer an in-game toggle. If you cannot find a control in the specific game, contact its developer.
What auto-jump does in Roblox
Roblox documents auto-jump as a mobile behavior: a character may jump automatically when it hits an obstacle. The StarterPlayer reference describes the setting as controlling whether a character automatically jumps on encountering an obstacle on a mobile device. The Humanoid.AutoJumpEnabled reference says the property works when the character is a player’s character and that player is using touch controls.
That documentation covers mobile and touch input; it does not establish that the same behavior applies to keyboard, mouse, or console controls. It also describes automatic obstacle jumping, not repeated jumping caused by holding a keyboard key.
Where the setting lives
The distinction is between Roblox’s player-wide settings and a particular experience’s controls. Roblox Support’s In-experience Settings and Help article lists settings such as volume, camera, graphics, and accessibility, but does not list an auto-jump switch. The Creator Hub instead documents developer-controlled properties: StarterPlayer.AutoJumpEnabled sets the default, which Roblox copies to a player and then to the character’s Humanoid when the character spawns.

A developer can also create a custom interface button that changes the player property and current Humanoid. That option is not mandatory, and Roblox does not specify a standard menu location or label for it.
What to try in a specific experience
- Check the experience’s own controls. Look through its settings or interface for a mobile control related to auto-jump. The exact location and wording depend on the developer, so there is no reliable universal menu path.
- Ask the developer if you find no toggle. The experience may not offer a player-facing option. A developer can change the default or add a custom toggle, but Roblox’s documentation does not say every experience provides one.
Changing a Roblox app setting cannot be relied on to disable auto-jump in every game; the documented control is implemented at the experience and character level.
