Usually, no. Robux you bought or have left in your account cannot generally be converted into cash. Roblox’s Developer Exchange program (DevEx) lets eligible creators exchange qualifying Earned Robux for money, but it is not a way to cash out purchased Robux.
Can you cash out Robux you bought?
No. Roblox says Robux “are not a substitute for real currency, do not earn interest, and have no equivalent value in real currency.” Its cash-out program is limited to qualifying Earned Robux, so a purchased balance—or unused Robux left over after spending—is not eligible for DevEx.
A refund is a separate question from cash conversion. Whether a particular purchase can be refunded depends on the transaction, the applicable store policy and the laws in your location; Roblox’s general terms do not establish that every purchase is either refundable or nonrefundable. See Roblox’s Terms of Use and check the policy that applies to the purchase.
How creators can exchange Earned Robux for money
Roblox describes DevEx as “a program that allows Roblox creators to exchange their Earned Robux for real money.” The program applies only to Robux Roblox recognizes as earned through permitted creator monetization or certain Roblox promotional awards. Roblox determines whether Robux qualify.

This is the program’s stated gross exchange calculation—not a general cash value for Robux, a rate for purchased balances, or a guarantee of what a creator will ultimately receive. The rate may change; check the current DevEx documentation.

Roblox prohibits selling or transferring Robux for value outside arrangements its terms expressly permit. Its DevEx terms also identify attempts to exchange Robux for real currency outside DevEx as conduct that can disqualify a creator. Offers from outside sites are not an authorized alternative cash-out route and may put an account or DevEx eligibility at risk. Roblox discusses unauthorized third-party exchanges in its annual filing.
