You can unlink a platform account from your Activision account and link it again, but Activision limits unlinking each individual platform account to once every 12 months. If you want to keep your game progress and owned content, relink that platform account to the original Activision account that holds them.
What to check before unlinking
For games with cross-progression, progress is associated with the Activision account, not transferred when you link a platform account to a different Activision account. Activision says relinking the platform account to its original Activision account restores access to that progression and owned content. Check which Activision account holds the progress you want before making a change. Activision: Managing Your Activision Account
Activision allows one account per platform provider on an Activision account. Its once-every-12-months limit applies to unlinking an individual platform account; it does not establish a separate cooldown for linking again. Activision: Managing Your Activision Account
How to unlink a platform account
- Sign in to the Activision account you want to manage.
- Open ACCOUNT LINKING.
- Find the platform account and select UNLINK.
- Check the confirmation box, select CONTINUE, and complete any requested prompts.
Activision’s account-management guidance says each individual platform account may be unlinked once every 12 months. Activision: Managing Your Activision Account

Activision may request an email verification code, so make sure you can access the email address on the account. Activision: Managing Your Activision Account Activision account guidance
If Activision will not let you unlink or relink
An unlink request may be restricted if the account has active enforcement. Activision also says it may deny requests when it identifies suspicious login or unlinking activity. Do not try to bypass an enforcement restriction or use a third-party account-transfer service. Activision: Managing Your Activision Account

If you cannot access the email on your Activision account, Activision’s account-management guidance describes signing in through a linked platform account to reset the password or update the email. Support may be unable to change account details for privacy and security reasons, so a requested change is not guaranteed. Activision account guidance
For a blocked or failed request, use Activision Support’s account-linking help options, including its topics for being unable to unlink or unable to link or unlink accounts. If you suspect someone accessed your account, follow the hacked-account recovery flow. Activision recommends changing your Activision password and the passwords for linked accounts that were unlinked, then relinking accounts. Do not make in-game purchases on the temporary account used during recovery; Activision warns it will no longer be accessible after recovery. Activision account security guidance
