Usually, not as a direct plug-in accessory. Logitech documents its Driving Force Shifter for the G29 and G920, using a DB9 connection; Thrustmaster’s console guidance documents its own shifters with compatible Thrustmaster wheel bases. Why the Logitech shifter does not directly match a Thrustmaster wheel
Logitech lists the Driving Force Shifter as compatible with its G29 and G920 wheel hardware and specifies a DB9 connection. Its specifications do not identify the shifter as a standard USB device. What to expect on PC
PC is more flexible than a console because a game may accept a wheel and shifter as separate USB devices. But the Logitech shifter’s DB9 connection does not plug into USB by itself. To attempt this setup, you would need an interface that makes the shifter appear to the PC as a usable device, plus a game that supports separate controllers or shifters. The official materials reviewed do not validate a particular interface, driver, or game configuration for the Logitech shifter with a Thrustmaster wheel.

Thrustmaster’s own shifter instructions show the distinction: the TH8A is recommended for direct USB connection on PC, and its manual describes PC plug-and-play use with games that support multiple USB devices and shifters. What to expect on PlayStation and Xbox
Do not assume a PC workaround will carry over to a console. Check these details before choosing a setup
- Platform: Is the setup for PC, PlayStation, or Xbox? Do not treat PC multi-USB support as proof of console compatibility.
- Exact wheel and shifter: Confirm the model names against the manufacturer’s compatibility information.
- Connection path: The Logitech Driving Force Shifter uses DB9; PC use would require a suitable interface to USB. Thrustmaster’s shifters have their own USB and wheel-base connection guidance.
