If you can’t purchase anything on Roblox, first match the fix to what you see: a card decline, a prepaid-card error, a spending limit, or a completed purchase that has not appeared. Correct billing details and a payment-provider decline call for different steps than Roblox purchase limits or a temporary service incident.
1. Correct your billing details and check for a card decline
Roblox lists an incorrect billing address, your bank’s fraud-prevention controls, and Roblox’s own fraud controls as possible reasons a card purchase may be declined. Check that the billing information entered at checkout exactly matches the information registered with your card provider. Some cards may still be rejected under Roblox’s fraud controls even when the details are correct.
- Confirm the billing address and other requested details with your card provider.
- If they match and the purchase still fails, check with the bank or card provider about a declined transaction.
- If needed, try another suitable payment method, such as PayPal or a Roblox gift card, as Roblox suggests.
A declined transaction may show as pending rather than completed. Roblox says a pending declined amount or temporary card-verification fee is returned within 1–10 business days. A pending amount is not proof that Roblox received payment or that the purchase completed. Roblox’s card-decline guidance explains these cases.
2. Check prepaid-card registration—and don’t retry a failed purchase
A prepaid card may fail if it has not been registered with the card provider, or if its registered details do not match the checkout information. Register it with the provider and use the same details at checkout. If a transaction still fails, stop rather than submitting it again: Roblox warns, “If the transaction is not going through, do not try to re-purchase.”

Roblox says another attempt can put a hold on the prepaid-card balance for up to 10 days. The held funds should return automatically, and Roblox says it will not receive payment for the unsuccessful transaction. See Roblox’s prepaid-card guidance.
If checkout asks for an Xsolla verification code
A security check may place a verification micro-transaction on the card, typically $0.20–$0.90 USD. Roblox says the transaction amount serves as the code, which is valid for 3 hours; if multiple codes appear, use the latest one. The verification amount is returned within 1–10 working days whether or not the purchase is completed, and pending security charges are not sent to Roblox. 3. Check Roblox purchase limits and linked-parent spending restrictions

If Roblox says you have reached a purchase limit, Support cannot change that limit. Roblox documents buying and redeeming a gift card as an alternative for making a new purchase in this situation. This is a workaround for the purchase-limit block—not a fix for a card declined by a bank or Roblox fraud controls. Read Roblox’s purchase-limit guidance.
Monthly spending restriction set by a linked parent
A parent linked to the child’s account can set a monthly spending restriction. The setting is at Settings > Parental Controls > Settings You Manage > Spending restrictions. Roblox says the restriction resets at the end of the calendar month, does not roll over, and does not affect gift-card redemption. A parent can review or change the setting from the linked account. Roblox also describes optional high-spend notifications in its parental-controls overview. The stated monthly thresholds are $100, $250, and $500, or equivalent local currency, with additional notices after $500. These are notification thresholds, not universal Roblox purchase limits. 4. Check for a service incident, then recover a missing purchase
Check Roblox Status
If checkout or item delivery fails unexpectedly, check Roblox Status for a service incident. Roblox says purchases completed during downtime should still be applied: products usually appear within an hour and should arrive within 24 hours at most. Make sure you are on the account used to buy the item
Before reporting a missing product, confirm that you are signed into the Roblox account used for the purchase. If it is still missing, follow the recovery steps for your device:
- Mobile app: Log out, force-close and reopen the app, then log back in.
- Xbox: Close and reopen the Roblox app; do not log out first.
If the item remains missing, contact Roblox Support with the purchase date and product information. Roblox says to include a screenshot or forward the receipt after you receive the email confirming your support request. Roblox’s missing-purchase guidance describes what to provide.

What to include when you contact Roblox Support
Use the Roblox Support form and include the details relevant to your issue:
- Your Roblox username and the device used to make the purchase.
- The issue category and the exact error message.
- For a billing question, the payment type, transaction date or dates, and amount or amounts.
- For a missing product, the purchase date and product; send the screenshot or receipt after the support-request confirmation email arrives.
For device-specific errors that do not fit these steps, provide the exact message and use the relevant Roblox platform troubleshooting path or contact Support.
