Roblox Abyss’s main regions are Forgotten Deep, Ancient Sands, Spirit Roots, and Angler Cave. This guide maps their NPCs and routes, explains how to reach the hidden areas, and lists all 15 rubber duck landmarks used to get access to Bob and the Plunger Gun. The routes and item positions below follow All Things How’s guide, updated February 13, 2026; game updates may change them, so check landmarks in your current game.
What are the locations in Roblox Abyss?
The route guide divides Abyss into four progression regions. Forgotten Deep is the starter area; Ancient Sands follows through a tunnel and waterfall; Spirit Roots is a later region northeast of Forgotten Deep; and Angler Cave is an endgame area reached through the Lost Captain’s quest chain. The Ocean connects several routes and hidden destinations.
| Area | How to find it | Key landmarks |
|---|---|---|
| Forgotten Deep | Starting safe area | The Kraken, Virelia, shops, Scientist’s teleporter, and Mr. Black |
| Ancient Sands | Go behind Richard’s Bestiary, through the tunnel, and past the waterfall | Crazy Jeff’s cave shop, Marcus, Suspicious Fisher, Grumpy Hank’s tower |
| Spirit Roots | Northeast of Forgotten Deep; look for a gate marked by three orbs | Lumi, Isolde, Victor, the Golem, Isaac, and King Cat’s hidden route |
| Angler Cave | Unlock through the Lost Captain’s quest chain | The Lost Captain outside near a broken ship; Lightkeeper inside an air pocket |
| Ocean | Use the routes around Forgotten Deep and the Diver as landmarks | Diver’s submarine, Morveth’s cave, and the southeast map edge |
Where are the NPCs in each region?
Forgotten Deep
The starter dome is the easiest place to orient yourself: the Kraken gives the main quest, and Virelia opens geodes. Nearby services and quest landmarks include David’s Tube Shop, Richard’s Bestiary and Fish Radar, Henry’s Harpoon Shop, the Scientist’s teleporter, Billy’s portable stash, and Mr. Black, who offers consumables and side quests. The Crab NPC is at Henry’s shop; this is where you return the Crab Scroll to begin its quest chain.
Ancient Sands
From Richard’s Bestiary, follow the route behind it through a tunnel and waterfall to reach the safe area. Crazy Jeff is in a cave shop and sells the in-game Minimap. Marcus stands near a large fish skeleton; the Suspicious Fisher is on a pillar near the dome exit; and Grumpy Hank is in a tower. Bring Marcus’s burger to Hank to unlock Hank’s quest line. The Crab Scroll cave is at the base of the steep cliff behind Hank’s tower.

The Golem is in a tunnel before the safe dome, while Isaac is on top of the dome. King Cat’s lair is hidden along a cave route; the directions are in the secret locations section below.
Angler Cave and the Ocean
The Lost Captain is east of Forgotten Deep, near a broken ship. The guide says the first Lost Captain quest requires level 35, and completing the quest chain unlocks Angler Cave. Inside, find the Lightkeeper in an air pocket. The Diver is an important Ocean landmark for the Morveth route and one of the duck locations.

How do you find the secret areas?
Bob’s door
From David’s Tube Shop, continue past it to a rock structure outside Forgotten Deep. Knock on the small metal door. Bob asks for 15 rubber ducks; the guide says delivering them grants access to buy the Plunger Gun.
Morveth’s cave
Start at the Diver, head right and down toward a waterfall cave, and bring at least the Zepline Tube, as specified by the guide. Completing Morveth’s quest chain unlocks Morveth’s Gun.

Fish Ruins
The guide lists seven Fish Ruins, opened with keys earned from NPC quests. Their landmarks are behind Mr. Black, behind the Scientist near Captain Sailor, behind the Suspicious Fisher, by Hank’s tower, near Isaac, and twice in the Spirit Roots cave east or northeast of the Golem. The guide says opening all seven is required for a later Crab quest.

How current are these Roblox Abyss locations?
The route and duck checklist here comes from All Things How’s guide, updated February 13, 2026. Game8’s surfaced February 2026 pages also indicate that its location coverage stops after the Jungle update, so they do not confirm later changes. Neither source verifies that every route, requirement, or collectible position remained unchanged on October 4, 2026. Treat exact landmarks and gates as patch-sensitive and check them in game if a route does not match.
