Cassette Beasts is no longer available as an Epic Games Store giveaway. The promotion ran from December 27 through December 28, 2025; as of October 8, 2026, Epic’s listing shows paid digital editions instead. If you claimed it during the offer, it remains in your Epic library.
When was Cassette Beasts free on Epic?
Cassette Beasts was reported free to claim on the Epic Games Store from December 27 through December 28, 2025. That offer has expired. Epic’s current free-games page does not list the game as a giveaway, and its US product listing presents paid digital editions. Prices and availability can differ by region and change over time.

Can you still get it free if you missed the offer?
No—not through the expired promotion. Epic Games Player Support says, “Free promotions have a limited duration,” and advises players to watch for future free offers. A later giveaway is possible, but there is no current Cassette Beasts free claim established as of October 8, 2026. Epic’s missed-promotion support answer explains the policy.
What if you claimed it during the giveaway?
The giveaway entitlement stays in your Epic Games library after you claim the game, even if you did not download it during the offer. Epic says, “Once claimed, the game is yours permanently – even if you don’t download it right away.” That applies to a completed claim, not simply visiting the store page or adding the game to a wishlist. Epic’s free-games support page describes the claim process.

How do Epic Games Store free games work?
Epic says weekly free games arrive Thursday at 8 a.m. PT and remain claimable for seven days. To claim an offer, sign in to an Epic account with two-factor authentication enabled and complete the store claim before the promotion ends. Once claimed, the game is added to your library; downloading it can happen later. Check the live offer and its countdown because the available games rotate. Epic’s free-games information has the schedule and account requirement.
What kind of game is Cassette Beasts?
Developed by Bytten Studio and published by Raw Fury, Cassette Beasts is an open-world, turn-based creature-collecting RPG. Rather than simply summoning creatures, you record monsters onto cassette tapes and play recordings to take their forms in battle. You can fuse forms with companions and use elemental interactions as part of combat. Its creature-collection premise may appeal to Pokémon fans, but it is a separate game with its own transformation and fusion mechanics. Bytten Studio’s official game page describes the game and its features.

What can you do now if you want to play?
If you missed the giveaway, the Epic US store listing shows the base game at $19.99, alongside digital editions and add-ons. That is the listing’s price as reflected in the information available on October 8, 2026; verify the live regional store page for the current price and edition contents before buying. The developer also lists Nintendo Switch availability, but that does not establish that a physical Switch cartridge is available. Bytten Studio’s platform listing confirms Switch as a platform, not a physical edition.
