Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is scheduled to launch on PS5 on October 15, 2026. It is not out yet as of October 8, 2026, but a playable demo is available. The game is also coming to Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Steam.
When does Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse come out on PS5?
Konami’s announced launch date is October 15, 2026. The US PlayStation Store lists the release time as 04:00 UTC. Treat the date as scheduled until launch; the store time is listed for the US storefront and may display differently depending on your time zone. Konami’s game page and the US PlayStation Store listing provide the release details.
Platforms and demo availability
Konami lists PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Steam as platforms. Its October 1 announcement says the demo is available on those platforms ahead of launch. Konami’s demo announcement explains how to carry progress into the full game.
How demo save transfer works
To transfer progress, keep the demo save and use the same platform and account for the demo and full game. The full version must also be updated. These requirements mean that progress transfer is not a cross-platform save feature: for example, a demo save on one platform does not meet the same-platform condition for a full game on another.

What kind of Castlevania game is it?
The story is set in Paris in 1499, 23 years after Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. You play as Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor Belmont, facing monsters in Paris and Dracula’s castle. Konami describes the game as 2D action-exploration, with gothic environments, secrets, puzzles and traps. The publisher’s announcement gives the story and gameplay overview.
The Vampire Killer is for combat and traversal
Rose’s Vampire Killer whip is both a weapon and a way to move through the environment. Konami says it can swing her through areas, help reveal hidden rooms and reach places that were previously inaccessible. Weapons and skills round out the action, so the whip is not presented as a combat-only tool.

Physical editions and regional bonuses
Konami confirms physical and digital editions, including a Physical Midnight Edition with the game, Digital Sound & Art Gallery and the same in-game bonuses listed for the digital Midnight Edition. The publisher has not established a universal physical price. It also says a SteelBook and Rose Belmont tarot card featuring art by Katsuya Terada are available only through select EMEA retailers and subject to local stock, so check a specific local listing rather than assuming those items come with every copy. Konami says a pre-order or early purchase can award an Alucard-style costume; check the seller’s terms and eligibility for the copy you plan to buy. Konami’s announcement has the physical-edition and bonus details.
