It is identified as Corel Compression Dll, associated with CorelDRAW(R) and Corel Corporation, and the safest fix is to repair or reinstall the matching Corel Graphics or CorelDRAW installation.
The name strongly points to the Corel Graphics/CorelDRAW 11 generation. Available file metadata describes it as a 32-bit Win32 DLL, but reported versions, sizes, and builds can differ between editions and service releases. Do not replace it with a similarly named file from another Corel generation.
What the cdrcpr110.dll error means
Windows loads application DLLs from the program’s installation directory and from locations defined by the application or operating system. When CorelDRAW starts, it may request cdrcpr110.dll and other companion files. If Windows cannot find the expected file, cannot load its dependencies, or finds an incompatible build, the application stops before opening.
You may see messages such as:
- “The program can’t start because cdrcpr110.dll is missing from your computer.”
- “cdrcpr110.dll was not found.”
- “Error loading cdrcpr110.dll.”
- “The code execution cannot proceed because cdrcpr110.dll was not found.”
- “cdrcpr110.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.”
The message may come from CorelDRAW, another Corel application, or a third-party program that embeds Corel components. First identify the executable shown in the error and repair that application rather than copying a DLL into a Windows folder.

Fix 1: Repair the Corel installation
Time needed: About 10–20 minutes, depending on whether Windows needs installation media.
This is the preferred fix because it restores the DLL together with the matching files, shortcuts, registry entries, and dependencies.
- Close CorelDRAW and all other applications.
- Press Windows key + R.
- Type
appwiz.cpland press Enter. - In Programs and Features, find CorelDRAW Graphics Suite, Corel Graphics, or the Corel product named in the error.
- Select it and click Change, Modify, or Uninstall/Change.
- Choose Repair when the setup wizard appears.
- Follow the prompts.
- If the wizard requests source files, insert the original disc or browse to the original installer package.
- Restart Windows after the repair completes.
- Start CorelDRAW from its normal shortcut.
A successful repair should allow the application to open without the cdrcpr110.dll message. It should also place the file in the Corel program directory instead of a Windows system folder.
If there is no Repair option, run the original Corel installer and look for Repair or Modify. If neither is available, continue to the reinstall procedure below.

Fix 2: Reinstall the exact Corel product and release
Time needed: About 20–45 minutes, plus time to locate the installer or installation disc.
Use this step when repair fails, the installation is partially removed, or the file was overwritten by another Corel release.
- Open Settings with Windows key + I.
- Select Apps.
- On Windows 11, open Installed apps. On Windows 10, open Apps & features.
- Search for the installed Corel product.
- Select its three-dot menu, or select the product and click Uninstall.
- Follow the uninstall wizard.
- Restart Windows.
- Run the original installer for the same licensed edition and release.
- Install Corel using the normal program location unless the installer requires another path.
- Restart Windows again.
- Launch the application and open a test document.
If the original installer asks for a serial number, use the product’s legitimate license information. If you registered the product with Corel, use Corel’s official support or account channels to locate the appropriate installation package.
Do not install cdrcpr100.dll, cdrcpr120.dll, or another similarly named file in its place. The suffix identifies a different Corel generation, and files that look similar are not necessarily interchangeable.
If the installer cannot find its source files, provide the original disc, mounted installation image, or complete installer package when prompted. Do not satisfy the prompt with a random DLL download.

Fix 3: Check antivirus quarantine before replacing anything
Time needed: About 5–10 minutes.
Security software may quarantine an application file after detecting a suspicious modification, an installer problem, or a false positive. Do not immediately disable antivirus protection or download a replacement.
- Open Windows Security from the Start menu.
- Select Virus & threat protection.
- Click Protection history.
- Look for an event involving CorelDRAW,
cdrcpr110.dll, or the Corel installation directory. - Check the detection name, original path, and action taken.
- If the Corel installation is trusted and the event clearly identifies the original file, use the available Restore or Allow on device action only after confirming the file came from your legitimate installation.
- Restart CorelDRAW.
If you are uncertain about the detection, leave the file quarantined and reinstall Corel from its original media or official account. Reinstalling is safer than restoring a file whose provenance is unclear.
After restoring or reinstalling, run a full scan. If the file disappears again, the security product may be detecting a damaged or modified installation. Contact the security vendor or use a clean Corel installer rather than repeatedly restoring the same file.

Fix 4: Confirm the file is in the Corel program directory
Time needed: About 5 minutes.
Historical Corel Graphics 11 installations have been reported with a path similar to:
C:Program FilesCorelCorel Graphics 11ProgramsCDRCPR110.DLL
The exact installation path can differ. Check the application’s own folder rather than assuming this path applies to every system.
- Right-click the CorelDRAW shortcut.
- Select Properties.
- Open the Shortcut tab.
- Note the folder shown in Start in, or click Open File Location if available.
- Look in that program directory and its
Programssubfolder forcdrcpr110.dll. - If the file is present, do not copy another version over it.
- If it is absent, use Corel repair or reinstall instead.
cdrcpr110.dll normally belongs beside the Corel application and its private support files. It does not normally belong in:
C:WindowsSystem32
C:WindowsSysWOW64
On 64-bit Windows, System32 contains native 64-bit system components, while SysWOW64 contains 32-bit Windows components. Neither folder is the default destination for this Corel application DLL.
Fix 5: Account for 32-bit Corel software on 64-bit Windows
Time needed: About 10 minutes for checks, or longer if compatibility changes are needed.
Available metadata identifies cdrcpr110.dll as a 32-bit Win32 DLL. That fits the legacy Corel Graphics/CorelDRAW 11 era. A 64-bit Windows installation can run many 32-bit applications, but the application must receive the correct 32-bit library and companion files from its own installation.

Check the application architecture as follows:
- Open Task Manager with Ctrl + Shift + Esc.
- Select the Details tab.
- Start CorelDRAW if it opens far enough to appear.
- Right-click the column headings and choose Select columns.
- Enable Platform, if that column is available.
- Check whether the application is identified as 32-bit.
You can also right-click the Corel executable, select Properties, and inspect the Compatibility tab. If the program is old and fails for reasons beyond the DLL message:
- Right-click the application shortcut.
- Select Properties.
- Open Compatibility.
- Select Run this program in compatibility mode for.
- Test an older Windows version only if the application’s installer or documentation calls for it.
- Select Apply, then OK.
- Start the application again.
Compatibility mode cannot recreate a missing DLL. It is useful only when the complete Corel installation is present but the legacy program has additional compatibility problems.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsDo not place arbitrary copies in both System32 and SysWOW64. That can hide the real installation problem and make later troubleshooting harder.
Fix 6: Check for a damaged dependency
Time needed: About 10–20 minutes.
If cdrcpr110.dll exists in the correct Corel directory but still fails to load, the file may be damaged, the wrong build, or dependent on another missing library.
Look for these clues:
- The error says the file is “not designed to run on Windows.”
- Repair restores the file, but the same error returns.
- The application reports a different missing DLL after the first repair.
- Event Viewer names another module in an application error.
- The program was copied manually from another computer.
- A disk image restore left the application incomplete.
To inspect the application error:
- Press Windows key + R.
- Type
eventvwr.mscand press Enter. - Expand Windows Logs.
- Select Application.
- Look for an error at the time CorelDRAW failed.
- Record the Faulting application name, Faulting module name, and exception details.
Do not replace only the module named in the message. Repair or reinstall the complete Corel product so that all files come from the same release.
Fix 7: Repair Windows components as a secondary check
Time needed: About 15–30 minutes, not including a restart.
cdrcpr110.dll is a third-party application file, so Windows system repair tools normally will not recreate it. They are useful when Windows itself has damaged components that prevent installers or applications from working correctly.
- Open Start.
- Type Command Prompt.
- Right-click Command Prompt.
- Select Run as administrator.
- Run this command:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
- Wait for it to finish.
- Then run:
sfc /scannow
- Restart Windows.
- Try the Corel repair again.
Microsoft recommends running DISM before SFC. SFC repairs protected Windows files; it does not normally restore a proprietary Corel DLL that was deleted from the Corel program directory.
Repeating these commands will not substitute for the original Corel installer. If the commands complete successfully but Corel still reports the missing file, return to repair or reinstall.

Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix 8: Update drivers only when the wider application fails
Time needed: About 15–30 minutes.
A graphics or printer driver does not normally supply cdrcpr110.dll. Driver work is relevant when Corel also crashes during drawing, printing, display initialization, or hardware detection after the DLL issue is repaired.
To check drivers through Windows:
- Right-click the Start button.
- Select Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters, Printers, and any category related to the failing hardware.
- Right-click the device.
- Select Properties.
- Open the Driver tab and note the provider and date.
- Select Update Driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers.
- Restart Windows if an update is installed.
Use the hardware manufacturer’s official support channel when Windows cannot find a suitable driver. Avoid installing a driver merely because Corel reports cdrcpr110.dll; the DLL itself should come from Corel’s application installer.
When checking several legacy devices manually becomes guesswork, Outbyte Driver Updater can scan and identify driver versions; its driver installation is handled by the full version, and it is not a substitute for reinstalling the Corel product that owns cdrcpr110.dll.
Do not register cdrcpr110.dll with regsvr32
regsvr32 is not a general-purpose DLL repair command. It is intended for DLLs that expose a registration entry point such as DllRegisterServer, typically COM or ActiveX components.
Running this against an ordinary application-support library may produce:
The module was loaded but the entry-point DllRegisterServer was not found.
That message does not prove the file is missing or corrupt. It usually means the library is not designed to be registered.
Do not use this as a routine fix:
regsvr32 cdrcpr110.dll
If Corel’s installer needs to register a component, let the installer perform that operation. Repairing or reinstalling the product is the correct way to restore its registration and file relationships.

Downloading a loose copy of cdrcpr110.dll is risky because the file may have:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- The wrong Corel build or service-release version
- The wrong architecture
- An altered or invalid signature
- Malware or unwanted modifications
- Missing companion files and dependencies
Even a genuine-looking copy may not fix the loader error if the rest of the Corel installation is incomplete. Do not copy it into System32 or SysWOW64.
The safe sources are the original Corel installation disc, a complete installer package from the licensed product, or Corel’s official support and account channels. There is no need to treat this application DLL as a standalone Windows download.

If Corel starts only after pressing F8
Some Corel documentation describes holding F8 while starting the application as a workspace reset. If Corel opens after that reset, the immediate problem may be a damaged user configuration rather than a missing program file.
A workspace reset does not restore cdrcpr110.dll. If the DLL error remains, repair or reinstall Corel. If the DLL error disappears but settings are lost, recreate the workspace carefully and test the application again.

FAQ
Is cdrcpr110.dll a Windows file?
No. It is associated with CorelDRAW(R) and Corel Corporation. It should normally remain in the Corel application directory.
Which program installed cdrcpr110.dll?
The strongest evidence points to Corel Graphics/CorelDRAW 11. Another Corel application or a third-party program using Corel components may also trigger the error.
Is cdrcpr110.dll 32-bit or 64-bit?
Available metadata identifies it as a 32-bit Win32 DLL. Do not assume newer CorelDRAW releases use this exact file.
Can I copy cdrcpr110.dll into System32?
No. That is not the normal location for this application-private DLL and can create an architecture or version mismatch.
Can I fix it with regsvr32?
Usually not. regsvr32 applies to self-registering DLLs, and an application compression library may not expose the required registration entry point.
Will SFC restore cdrcpr110.dll?
Normally no. SFC repairs protected Windows system files, not ordinary proprietary application files. Use Corel repair or reinstall.
What if the file exists but Corel still will not start?
The file may be the wrong build, damaged, or missing a dependency. Repair the complete installation and check Event Viewer for the module that actually fails.
Is installing DirectX, .NET, or Visual C++ the answer?
Not for this specific file. Install those components only when the error explicitly names one of their runtime files or Corel’s installer requires them.
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
What is the safest permanent fix?
Repair or reinstall the exact licensed Corel product that supplied cdrcpr110.dll. That restores the DLL with its matching files instead of masking the problem with an unrelated copy.
