cdrprn100.dll is a CorelDRAW program file, not a Windows system DLL. Its description is Corel Print Engine, and it is associated with CorelDRAW(R), developed by Corel Corporation.
The safest fix is to repair the installed CorelDRAW release so its installer restores the matching file and any related dependencies. Do not download cdrprn100.dll from a random DLL website or copy it into System32.

What the cdrprn100.dll error means
CorelDRAW uses cdrprn100.dll as part of its printing subsystem. If the file is missing, damaged, quarantined, or incompatible with the rest of the installation, Windows may stop CorelDRAW before it opens.

The exact wording depends on the Windows version, CorelDRAW release, and whether the file itself or one of its dependencies is failing.

Public file metadata identifies the component as Corel Print Engine and associates it with CorelDRAW(R). Some third-party metadata reports a particular build, file size, and 32-bit architecture, but those details are not an authoritative Corel specification. Do not use them to select a replacement file.
Fix 1: Repair CorelDRAW
Time needed: 5 to 15 minutes
Corel’s Repair option is the best first step because it checks the existing installation and restores missing or corrupted program files, shortcuts, and registry entries.
- Close CorelDRAW.
- Press Windows key + R.
- Type
appwiz.cpl. - Press Enter.
- In Programs and Features, find your installed CorelDRAW Graphics Suite entry.
- Double-click it.
- Choose Repair.
- Follow the repair wizard.
- Restart Windows when the wizard finishes.
- Start CorelDRAW again.
If Windows opens a maintenance window instead of the repair wizard, choose Modify, then select Repair.

How to tell whether Repair worked
Repair worked if CorelDRAW opens without the cdrprn100.dll message. Test the installation by opening an existing document and selecting File → Print.
If the program still fails, restart Windows once more and repeat the repair from an administrator account. If Repair is unavailable, continue with the reinstall step below.
Fix 2: Reinstall the exact CorelDRAW release
Time needed: 15 to 45 minutes
A missing file is often a symptom of an incomplete update, interrupted installation, disk cleanup, or damaged program directory. Reinstalling the complete matching release restores more than one DLL and avoids dependency mismatches.
Use the original Corel installation media or the installer available through your Corel account. Do not use an installer for a different CorelDRAW release merely because the product name looks similar.
Recommended Free Tools
- Save your work and close CorelDRAW.
- Open Settings with Windows key + I.
- Select Apps → Installed apps on Windows 11, or Apps → Apps & features on Windows 10.
- Find CorelDRAW Graphics Suite.
- Select the three-dot menu on Windows 11, or click the entry on Windows 10.
- Choose Uninstall.
- Follow the Corel removal wizard.
- Restart Windows.
- Run the installer for the same CorelDRAW release you were using.
- Choose the normal installation option unless you have a specific reason to change the destination.
- Restart Windows after installation.
- Launch CorelDRAW and test printing.
If the uninstaller is missing or fails, open Control Panel → Programs → Programs and Features and try removing CorelDRAW there.

A complete reinstall is more reliable than copying a single DLL because CorelDRAW may also need matching print modules, configuration files, registry entries, and runtime libraries.
Fix 3: Check antivirus quarantine
Time needed: 5 to 10 minutes
Security software can quarantine an old application file after a definition update or during a scan. This is especially relevant if CorelDRAW worked previously and the error appeared suddenly.
- Open Windows Security from the Start menu.
- Select Virus & threat protection.
- Choose Protection history.
- Look for an event involving CorelDRAW or
cdrprn100.dll. - Review the detected file path and reason.
- If the CorelDRAW installation is genuine and the alert is clearly a false positive, use the available restore or allow option.
- Update CorelDRAW afterward.
- Run a full scan.
Do not permanently disable antivirus protection to make the program start. If the security product continues to remove the file, repair or reinstall CorelDRAW from its official installer and contact the security vendor if the detection remains.

Fix 4: Check for mixed or incompatible CorelDRAW files
Time needed: 10 to 20 minutes
A common mistake is copying cdrprn100.dll from another computer or from a different CorelDRAW release. The file may have the same name but expose different functions or require different companion files.
Symptoms of a mismatched file include:
- “Entry point not found”
- “The application was unable to start correctly”
- “The file is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error”
- CorelDRAW opening but failing when printing
- A new error naming another DLL after the first replacement
Remove the copied file only if you know it was manually added. Then use Repair or reinstall the complete CorelDRAW release.
Do not mix files from older and newer CorelDRAW installations. A 32-bit CorelDRAW program can run on 64-bit Windows, but that does not make its private DLL a Windows system file.

Time needed: 10 to 20 minutes
cdrprn100.dll is not a Microsoft Visual C++ runtime file. It is identified as CorelDRAW’s print-engine module.

Visual C++ repair is appropriate only if the error also mentions a file such as:
MSVCPMSVCRVCRUNTIMEMFC
Microsoft provides separate x86 and x64 Visual C++ Redistributable packages. The package architecture must match the application. Older CorelDRAW software may require an older redistributable, and multiple runtime generations can coexist.
To repair an installed runtime:
- Press Windows key + R.
- Type
appwiz.cpl. - Press Enter.
- Find the relevant Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable entry.
- Select it.
- Choose Change.
- Select Repair.
- Repeat for the matching x86 or x64 package if both are installed.
- Restart Windows.
If you need a Microsoft package, use Microsoft’s latest supported Visual C++ Redistributable downloads. Microsoft also provides the x86 package and x64 package.
Do not install Visual C++ packages merely because cdrprn100.dll is missing. Repair CorelDRAW first.
Fix 6: Repair Windows components with DISM and SFC
Time needed: 10 to 30 minutes
DISM and System File Checker repair Windows components. They normally do not recreate a missing third-party CorelDRAW DLL, but they can fix Windows-side corruption that prevents CorelDRAW or its dependencies from loading.
Microsoft recommends running DISM before SFC.
- Open the Start menu.
- Type
Command Prompt. - Right-click Command Prompt.
- Select Run as administrator.
- Approve the User Account Control prompt.
- Run:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- Wait for the command to finish.
- Then run:
sfc /scannow
- Wait until verification reaches 100 percent.
- Restart Windows.
- Try CorelDRAW again.
If SFC reports that it found and repaired corrupted files, test CorelDRAW after restarting. If it reports that some files could not be repaired, run DISM again, restart, and repeat SFC once.
Outbyte PC Repair can show what Windows issues are being detected when you are tired of repeating SFC and DISM without knowing what changed; its free scan identifies problems, while repair requires the full version. CorelDRAW repair or reinstallation remains the definitive fix for a missing application DLL.

Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix 7: Reset the CorelDRAW workspace
Time needed: 2 to 5 minutes
A damaged workspace can prevent CorelDRAW from starting, although resetting it does not restore a missing cdrprn100.dll.
- Close CorelDRAW.
- Press and hold F8.
- While holding F8, start CorelDRAW.
- Confirm that you want to reset the workspace if prompted.
This returns workspace settings to their defaults. It may remove customized toolbars, menus, and other preferences. If the same DLL error appears, use CorelDRAW Repair instead.

Fix 8: Repair the printer driver if CorelDRAW starts but printing fails
Time needed: 10 to 30 minutes
If CorelDRAW opens normally and the error appears only after selecting Print, the printer driver or print subsystem may also be involved. Repair CorelDRAW first, then check the printer.
- Press Windows key + X.
- Select Device Manager.
- Expand Printers or Print queues.
- Right-click the affected printer.
- Choose Uninstall device.
- If Windows offers to remove the driver package, select that option only if you are prepared to reinstall it.
- Restart Windows.
- Install the current driver supplied by the printer manufacturer.
- Print a Windows test page.
- Open CorelDRAW and test again.
You can also check Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners on Windows 11 or Settings → Devices → Printers & scanners on Windows 10. Remove the printer, restart, and add it again if the queue or port is corrupted.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Outbyte Driver Updater can scan for outdated drivers when manually matching printer models and versions becomes tedious; its free scan shows detected issues, while driver installation requires the full version. Use the printer manufacturer’s driver when possible, and remember that a driver reinstall does not replace a missing CorelDRAW file.
If CorelDRAW fails before its print dialog appears, a printer-driver reinstall is not the primary repair. Return to CorelDRAW Repair or reinstall the application.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Does regsvr32 fix cdrprn100.dll?
Usually, no.
regsvr32 is intended for DLLs that provide a registration entry point, commonly COM or ActiveX components. A private CorelDRAW print-engine DLL is not automatically a self-registering component.
Running a command such as this is unlikely to help:
regsvr32 cdrprn100.dll
It may produce an error such as “DllRegisterServer was not found.” That does not mean Windows failed to register the file; it means the DLL does not expose the function that regsvr32 expects.
Do not register the file unless Corel’s documentation for your exact release specifically instructs you to do so.
Do not copy cdrprn100.dll into System32
Do not place the file in:
C:WindowsSystem32
or:
C:WindowsSysWOW64
Those folders contain Windows-managed system libraries. Adding a CorelDRAW application DLL there can create version collisions and still leave the actual CorelDRAW installation incomplete.

The correct location is normally inside the CorelDRAW installation directory. The exact path varies by release, installation type, and chosen destination. Let Corel’s installer place the file rather than guessing the folder.
Why random DLL downloads are risky
Third-party DLL download sites can provide:
- The wrong CorelDRAW build
- A file intended for a different application release
- An incompatible architecture
- A modified or malicious file
- A DLL without its required dependencies
Even if a downloaded file makes the first error disappear, CorelDRAW may fail later with an entry-point error, print-engine error, or another missing dependency.
The safe sources are the original Corel installation media and the installer obtained through your Corel account. Use Microsoft’s official pages only for Microsoft runtime or Windows repair components.
Most likely causes of this error
| Cause | Typical clue | Correct response |
|---|---|---|
| Damaged CorelDRAW installation | Error appears at launch | Run CorelDRAW Repair |
| Interrupted update or reinstall | Problem began after maintenance | Reinstall the same release |
| Antivirus quarantine | File disappeared after a security scan | Check Protection history, then repair |
| Mixed DLL versions | Entry-point or compatibility error | Remove copied files and repair |
| Missing Visual C++ dependency | Error names MSVCP, MSVCR, VCRUNTIME, or MFC | Repair the matching runtime |
| Windows component corruption | Other applications also behave abnormally | Run DISM, then SFC |
| Printer subsystem problem | CorelDRAW starts, printing fails | Repair CorelDRAW, then reinstall the printer driver |
FAQ
Is cdrprn100.dll a Windows file?
No. It is associated with CorelDRAW and described as Corel Print Engine. It should not normally be installed in a Windows system directory.
Is cdrprn100.dll a Microsoft Visual C++ file?
No. It is a CorelDRAW application component. Microsoft runtimes matter only when the error also identifies a missing Microsoft runtime dependency.
Which CorelDRAW version uses cdrprn100.dll?
The exact CorelDRAW release containing a particular reported build is not verified here. Use the installer and Repair option for the release already installed rather than choosing a DLL by filename or reported version.
Can I download just cdrprn100.dll?
You should not. Restore it through CorelDRAW Repair or reinstall the matching CorelDRAW release.
Should I use regsvr32?
Normally not. A program-private print-engine DLL does not automatically require COM registration.
Why does a 64-bit Windows PC have a 32-bit CorelDRAW installation?
Older CorelDRAW releases may be 32-bit applications and can run on 64-bit Windows. The application’s architecture does not turn its private DLL into a Windows system file.
What if Repair is unavailable?
Uninstall CorelDRAW from Windows or Control Panel, restart, and reinstall the same release from your Corel account or original installation media.
What information should I collect before contacting Corel?
Record the exact CorelDRAW release, Windows version, complete error text, file path shown in the error, antivirus quarantine result, and whether the problem occurs at launch or only during printing. Then contact Corel Support through its official support channel.
