CE-27 Ground Breaker is a medium armor set in Helldivers 2, listed with 100 armor, 500 speed, 100 stamina, and the Engineering Kit passive. It appears on page one of the Democratic Detonation Premium Warbond; the body armor costs 18 War Medals and its helmet costs 12, according to a community-maintained armor reference.
What does CE-27 Ground Breaker do?
The set’s listed armor, speed, and stamina values are 100, 500, and 100. These are item specifications from a community-maintained armor reference, rather than figures published in the official Warbond announcement. The reference classifies the set as medium armor.
| Specification | Listed value |
|---|---|
| Armor class | Medium |
| Armor | 100 |
| Speed | 500 |
| Stamina | 100 |
| Passive | Engineering Kit |
What is the Engineering Kit passive?
The armor reference lists two Engineering Kit effects: 30% less recoil while crouching or prone, and two additional throwables in both initial inventory and holding capacity. These are listed game effects, not results from independent gameplay testing.
That combination may suit a loadout built around using throwables and firing from a crouched or prone position. It does not establish that the armor is best for every mission or play style.

How do I get CE-27 Ground Breaker armor?
Unlock it through the Democratic Detonation Premium Warbond. The community-maintained reference places the body armor and helmet on page one and lists their costs separately:
| Item | Page | Listed cost |
|---|---|---|
| CE-27 Ground Breaker body armor | 1 | 18 War Medals |
| CE-27 Ground Breaker helmet | 1 | 12 War Medals |
Arrowhead Support explains that players purchase Warbonds with Super Credits, then spend War Medals to unlock their contents. Its guidance says Premium Warbonds cost 1,000 Super Credits and that existing Warbonds remain available for purchase. These are general Warbond rules; CE-27 Ground Breaker is not listed as a separately sold item. See Arrowhead Support’s Warbond guidance for the mechanics.

PlayStation Blog announced Democratic Detonation as a Premium Warbond for April 11, 2024, and identified CE-27 Ground Breaker as medium armor. The announcement says Warbond content requires the base game, paid Super Credits, and game progression to unlock. Its item-cost figures above come from the community-maintained armor reference, not from the announcement. Read the PlayStation Blog announcement for the launch context.
Why do some older descriptions give it a different passive?
The armor reference says the set originally went live with Servo-Assisted and was corrected to Engineering Kit on April 16, 2024. Older launch discussions may therefore name Servo-Assisted; the reference’s current listing gives Engineering Kit.

Is CE-27 Ground Breaker worth considering?
Consider it if the listed effects match how you play: the passive supports extra throwable capacity and reduced recoil when crouched or prone. Its medium class and listed 100/500/100 armor, speed, and stamina values provide the relevant baseline for judging the set against your other options. These specifications alone do not establish a current balance advantage or best-in-slot status.
The official announcement gives the armor a flavor description attributed to SGM Janet Jones, Excavation Corps Founder: “The ground is just another obstacle that hasn’t yet been cleared.”
