What did ChainGPT Pad launch?
ChainGPT Pad announced an initial DEX offering (IDO) for $FURY, the token associated with Engines of Fury. It also placed the game in ChainGPT’s Acceleration Program, which the launchpad described as offering product refinement, marketing, roadmap support and post-launch assistance. Neither announcement means the completed game launched publicly.
The May 2024 announcement followed earlier steps: ChainGPT Pad named the game as an Acceleration Program project in March, when the IDO date and some token details were still to be announced. In April, the project named ChainGPT Pad, SidusPad and Ape Terminal as launchpads; on May 6 it announced the IDO schedule. ChainGPT Pad was one of three venues, not the only launchpad. The May 8 press release said its allocation was scheduled for May 13. ChainGPT Pad’s March announcement and the project’s April launchpad announcement document that sequence.
The title’s “launches Engines of Fury” phrasing can therefore be misleading if read as a game-release announcement. It referred principally to the token launch and acceleration campaign. The underlying May 8 release is available from GlobeNewswire.

What kind of game is Engines of Fury?
Engines of Fury is presented as a free-to-play, top-down extraction shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world affected by a mutagenic virus linked to a meteor. Its proposed loop combines raids and scavenging with crafting, gear upgrades, hideout development and character progression. Project and ChainGPT materials describe solo and cooperative play as well as PvP and PvE encounters, though terminology varies across those descriptions.
These are descriptions of the project’s intended game, not an independent assessment of its quality or a claim that every system is complete. ChainGPT’s portfolio page says the project was founded in 2021; that date is ChainGPT’s reporting. The May 2024 announcement also attributed development experience to people associated with Blizzard, Activision, Ubisoft and Unity, and named Animoca Brands, Metavest Capital, Maven Capital and Double Peek Group as backers. What does optional blockchain mean for players?
The 2024 promotion described blockchain features as optional and proposed tokenized asset ownership, NFT minting and trading, rewards, play-and-earn mechanics, cross-game interoperability, user-generated content and $FURY utility. These were promoted features and goals; their inclusion in the announcement does not establish that they were all available in a playable build.

The later Epic Games FAQ describes a more specific player path: an Epic Games account is enough to play, while blockchain interaction is optional. It identifies Immutable Passport as the supported account-linking route and says digital assets are intended to offer optional utility rather than change the core gameplay loop. The FAQ also says there is no in-game marketplace at present. It warns that external token or NFT activity is at the player’s own risk.

A player who chooses blockchain features may face extra account-linking, wallet, transaction, security and market considerations. Optional access is not a promise that assets will be liquid, profitable or useful outside the game.

The project’s May 6 schedule announcement specified a 12:00 UTC start for the ChainGPT Pad allocation and described a $250,000 raise; see the project’s schedule notice. These figures describe the announced sale and token model. They do not establish current price, circulating supply, liquidity, or investment value.
Does “bringing Web3 to mainstream players” describe a proven result?
No. It was the project’s stated design goal, not evidence of mainstream adoption. A free-to-play entry point and the ability to play without connecting a wallet can reduce friction for conventional gamers. But adoption would need to be assessed using evidence such as active-player numbers, retention, completed testing, independent reviews and sustained use of any token features.

These are company-provided application figures, not audited player counts. Applications do not show how many people played, returned, or found the game compelling. The project’s promotional references to a large global gaming audience likewise do not demonstrate that this title reached that audience.

What is the game’s current status?
The latest accessible Epic Games FAQ describes Engines of Fury as being in closed testing and says no final release date has been announced. It lists raiding, questing, crafting and character progression among Early Access systems. The FAQ describes a live-service plan and a target update cadence of roughly six to eight weeks; these are project plans, not a guarantee that every update will arrive on schedule.
The FAQ says progress resets may occur, while tokenized assets such as FURY and NFTs are preserved. For anyone considering a test build, that distinction matters: character or gameplay progress may not persist even when a tokenized asset does. The FAQ is the relevant source for the game’s documented status and policies, rather than the 2024 IDO announcement.

The May 2024 IDO materials identified Binance Smart Chain for $FURY. The later Epic FAQ says the game is built on Immutable Chain and uses Immutable Passport for optional blockchain features. Those statements refer to different dated materials and should not be silently combined into a claim that nothing changed. They may reflect a product or integration evolution, but the available statements alone do not explain the transition or establish the current contract arrangements.

Anyone evaluating a token or asset should verify the current official contract address, network, supply and unlock schedule, available liquidity, and whether the game utility being promoted is live. A token’s existence does not prove that the game economy is sustainable, and an asset on one network should not be assumed to have the same utility as an in-game asset described on another. The game FAQ says the company does not conduct investment offerings or token placements through the game and cautions users about external activity.
What should gamers and token buyers weigh?
If you are mainly interested in playing
- The FAQ describes free-to-play access through an Epic Games account without blockchain interaction.
- Closed testing means the experience and systems are unfinished; bugs, balance changes and resets are possible.
- There is no final release date in the accessible FAQ, so the 2024 token event should not be mistaken for a public game launch.
- Wallet connection is a separate choice with additional security and account-management considerations.
If you are considering blockchain assets
- The 2024 IDO price, valuation and supply figures are historical sale terms, not current valuation data.
- The FAQ says there is no in-game marketplace at present, so do not assume the game itself provides a market for assets.
- Token and NFT prices, listings, liquidity and availability can change; promoted play-and-earn or income claims are not guaranteed outcomes.
- Before any transaction, check the current contract and chain, vesting or unlock terms, relevant audit scope, live utility and the rules that apply in your jurisdiction.
ChainGPT also said in June 2024 that $FURY was live and trading on additional exchanges. That project announcement does not establish present-day trading availability, liquidity or suitability. No token purchase or launchpad participation is necessary simply to understand or play the game as described in the Epic FAQ.
