CHANGE: A Homeless Survival Experience is a single-player survival and life-simulation game from Delve Interactive. Delve Interactive describes the game as an emotional homeless survival experience built around the question, “If you became homeless… what would you do?” Players navigate a randomly generated city and try to work toward a new life. The premise is a hypothetical game scenario, not a claim that homelessness can be reduced to one person’s decisions.
The game combines survival resource management, choice-driven events, and roguelike progression. A run is shaped by the character, circumstances, and events encountered, so the same route through the city is not guaranteed each time.
How does the gameplay work?
Players monitor needs and other stats while looking for places to stay and resources. Hunger, hygiene, happiness, reputation, and study are among the systems described on the Steam listing. Choices can affect later events, making the immediate trade-offs part of the run’s progression.

The game’s locations include parks, shelters, police stations, a clinic, a library, and bars. Steam describes five playable characters, each with an individual background and maladies. These characters and locations provide different contexts for play; randomized events should not be read as typical or universal experiences of homelessness.
How does the game handle its subject?
Delve Interactive says it spoke with people who had experienced sleeping rough and consulted public charity, journalistic, and government literature while developing the game. The developer also acknowledges that some realities were abstracted for gameplay. Those are the developer’s descriptions of its process and intent; they do not establish the game as a comprehensive or authoritative guide to homelessness.

The studio says the project aims to raise awareness and support homelessness causes. Its Steam description states that 20% of Delve Interactive’s profits from the game will be donated to charities focused on homelessness, and reports that the project has raised “over £7000” for Crisis, The Clocktower Sanctuary, and Shelter. The store page gives no date for these statements, so they should be treated as claims published there, not as current or independently audited totals.
The Steam listing notes mature content including tobacco and alcohol use, infrequent swearing, drug use, and text depicting abuse.
