Bacon Cooking Event is over. It ran in Grow a Garden from August 2 through August 16, 2025. During the event, players cooked dishes in the central Cooking Pot and gave Chris P. his requested food for a random reward-tier roll. The cooking system later became permanent through the Cooking Kit, but Chris P.’s limited-time NPC event did not remain active.
This guide separates the original event quests, recipes, and reward tiers from the current post-event path to permanent cooking.

Current status: The Chris P. Bacon Cooking Event in Grow a Garden ran from August 2 through August 16, 2025, and is no longer a live event as of August 12, 2026. Chris P. is not currently available as the event’s reward-giving NPC. The cooking mechanic did remain in the game through the permanent Cooking Kit.
How the Chris P. Bacon event worked
During the event, Chris P. was a pig chef near the center of the Grow a Garden map. He displayed a food craving that changed periodically. Your job was to grow or collect the necessary crops, cook the requested dish in the Cooking Pot, and hand the finished food to Chris P.
#1 Best Overall
- Unleash the power of Kirby’s iconic transformations with the Kirby Copy Ability Figure
- This adorable collectible figure comes with two unique sets of copy ability accessories that let you recreate Kirby’s most legendary powers
- Whether summoning foes by painting them to life or whipping up delicious food with on-screen enemies, Kirby is ready for action—and the fun doesn’t stop there
- All accessories are interchangeable with other figures in the Copy Ability series, so you can mix and match to create your own ultimate Kirby
- The product box will have a Bandai Namco warning label, which is proof that you are purchasing an officially licensed product
The important distinction was that Chris P. requested a dish type, not a specific rarity. For example, if he wanted Pie, you could prepare a Common Pie or try to make a more valuable version such as a Prismatic Pie. Better food rarity and larger food generally improved access to better reward tiers, but the exact reward was still a random roll rather than a guaranteed reward matching the submitted food.
The short version
- Check Chris P.’s displayed craving.
- Grow or collect the ingredients for that dish.
- Add the crops to the central Cooking Pot.
- Wait for the recipe timer, or collect the food when it finishes.
- Give Chris P. the matching dish for a chance at a reward.
Chris P. Bacon quests: what was actually documented
Many guides describe the event as a cooking quest line, but there is not a reliably documented, complete numbered Chris P. quest chain. The event’s practical objectives were to cook food and satisfy Chris P.’s cravings. The clearest documented progression after the event is the Common Garden Guide achievement route, which unlocks the permanent Cooking Kit.
Common Garden Guide objectives for the Cooking Kit
Complete these five objectives:
- Shovel 100 plants.
- Harvest 200 carrots.
- Gift 1 carrot.
- Sell 500 strawberries.
- Gift 5 strawberries.
Post-event guides report that completing the Common achievements awards the Cooking Kit. These objectives should not be confused with a separate, formally numbered Chris P. Bacon quest chain: they are the documented route to permanent cooking access after the limited-time event ended.
How cooking worked during the event
- Collect ingredients. Grow the crops needed for the recipe or take them from your inventory.
- Go to the Cooking Pot. During the event, the pot was located near the center of the island.
- Equip a crop. Select the ingredient from your inventory or hotbar, then interact with the pot to add it.
- Correct mistakes before starting. Use the empty or reset control if you put in the wrong ingredient.
- Start cooking. The timer depended on the recipe and the ingredients used.
- Collect the finished food. Take the completed dish from the pot after the timer ends.
- Turn it in to Chris P. Match the displayed craving whenever possible.
Some event-era coverage reported a 39-Robux timer skip. That was tied to the 2025 event and is not a way to bring Chris P. back or claim his event rewards now. It was also optional; spending Robux did not guarantee a particular reward.
Cravings, rarity, size, and reward odds
Match the requested dish
Chris P.’s craving was the safest guide for what to cook. If he requested Salad, cook Salad. If he requested Pie, submit Pie rather than assuming that any food would qualify.
Contemporaneous guides disagreed about whether Chris P. would accept food that did not match his current craving. Because of that conflict, do not rely on an off-craving submission. Matching the displayed dish was the only consistently safe strategy, and no guide should promise a reward for an incorrect food.

Higher rarity was better, but not guaranteed
A higher-rarity version of the requested food could open better reward tiers. Food size also influenced reward quality according to event coverage. However, these factors affected the quality of the reward roll; they did not guarantee a specific item, an equal-rarity reward, or the top tier.
In practical terms, do not burn rare ingredients simply because they might produce a higher reward. Use the best ingredients you can spare when the craving is worth pursuing, but remember that the outcome remained random.
Chris P. Bacon reward tiers
The following table combines the most complete documented reward list with the tier structure reported by multiple event guides. Exact labels and quantity formatting varied slightly between guides, so treat it as an event-era reference rather than a promise of a particular drop.
| Reward tier | Documented possible rewards |
|---|---|
| Very Common / Common | Sheckles; Burnt Mutation Spray; 5 Watering Cans; Fork Fence |
| Uncommon | Food Crate; Reclaimer; 3 Corn Seeds |
| Rare | Artichoke Seed; Advanced Sprinkler; Gourmet Seed Pack |
| Legendary | 2 Small Toys; Gourmet Egg; 2 Honeyglazed Mutation Sprays |
| Mythical | Pretzel Cart; 2 Gourmet Seed Packs; Medium Toy |
| Divine | Mochi Mouse; 3 Fried Mutation Sprays; 2 Food Crates; Fried Pet Shard |
| Prismatic | Taco Fern Seed; 3 Gourmet Eggs; 4 Gourmet Seed Packs; Pancake Stack |
The tier describes the pool from which the game could roll. It does not mean that submitting a Prismatic food automatically awarded a Prismatic item. Likewise, a lower-rarity dish could still produce a reward from its available tier without matching the food’s rarity exactly.
Representative event recipes
Recipes were still being discovered during the event, and contemporary recipe lists were described as incomplete or subject to change. The recipes below are documented examples, not a complete or permanently authoritative recipe book. Alternative recipes, ingredient weight, and the game version could affect the resulting food or tier.

| Salad | Orange Tulip, Bamboo, Carrot, Tomato | Uncommon; about 5 minutes |

| Ice Cream | Corn, Blueberry, Strawberry | Uncommon; about 6 minutes |
| Sandwich | 2 Tomatoes, Corn | Uncommon or Rare variants were reported |

| Burger | Pepper, Corn, Tomato, Mint | Rare; about 10 minutes |
| Sushi | 4 Bamboo, Corn | Rare; about 7 minutes |

| Candy Apple | Sugar Apple, Blueberry | Mythical; about 5 minutes |
| Prismatic Salad | 4 Bone Blossoms, Tomato | Prismatic; about 5 minutes |
| Prismatic Pie | 4 Bone Blossoms, Pumpkin | Prismatic; about 8 minutes |
If you are checking a recipe in a current version of the game, use the in-game Recipe Book as the final authority. The event recipe lists were not guaranteed to be exhaustive, and a recipe that worked in event coverage may not be the only valid combination.

What replaced Chris P. Bacon after the event?
The central event setup and Chris P.’s temporary NPC loop were replaced by the Cooking Kit. The kit is a placeable interactive cosmetic that lets players continue using the underlying cooking system from their own garden.
How to get and use the Cooking Kit
- Complete the five Common Garden Guide objectives listed above.
- Claim the Cooking Kit reward from the Garden Guide.
- Place the kit in your garden.
- Interact with it to continue crafting food.
The Cooking Kit preserves cooking, but it does not mean that the original Chris P. Bacon event is still active. In particular, it should not be treated as a way to reopen Chris P.’s event reward table or turn in food to the former NPC.

Chris P. is not on the map
That is expected in the post-event state. The event ended on August 16, 2025. Work toward the Garden Guide achievements and use the Cooking Kit for permanent cooking instead.

The pot has the wrong ingredient
Use the pot’s empty or reset control before starting the timer. Starting with the wrong ingredient may produce a different dish from the one Chris P. requested.
The recipe is correct but the reward is disappointing
Rarity and size improved access to better reward tiers but did not guarantee a high-tier item. The reward within a tier was random.
A guide says any food can be submitted
Other contemporary guides said Chris P. would refuse food that did not match his craving. Because the sources conflict, match the displayed craving rather than testing an off-craving dish with valuable ingredients.

You are looking for a complete Chris P. quest list
The reliable distinction is between the event’s cooking-and-craving objective loop and the later Common Garden Guide achievements that unlock the Cooking Kit. There is no well-supported complete numbered Chris P. chain to reproduce here.
Optional Robux note
The reported 39-Robux timer skip belonged to the 2025 event and is not required for the Garden Guide achievements or the Cooking Kit. If you simply want optional credit for other Roblox purchases, a Roblox gift card may be useful, but it cannot restore the ended event and does not guarantee better cooking rewards.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you still find Chris P. Bacon in Grow a Garden?
No. The Chris P. Bacon Cooking Event ran from August 2 through August 16, 2025, and was no longer live as of August 12, 2026. The central pot and Chris P.’s temporary reward loop were replaced by the permanent Cooking Kit.
How do you unlock the Cooking Kit?
Complete the five Common Garden Guide objectives: shovel 100 plants, harvest 200 carrots, gift 1 carrot, sell 500 strawberries, and gift 5 strawberries. Then claim and place the Cooking Kit in your garden.
Does the Cooking Kit let you claim Chris P. Bacon event rewards?
The Cooking Kit preserves the cooking mechanic, but it does not reopen Chris P.’s event or restore the original event reward table. It is a permanent cooking station rather than a replacement Chris P. NPC.
Did cooking a higher-rarity dish guarantee a better reward?
No specific rarity was guaranteed. Matching the requested dish was the safest strategy, while food rarity and size generally affected access to better reward tiers. Rewards within a tier were random.
Would Chris P. accept food that did not match his craving?
Contemporary guides disagree about whether off-craving food was accepted. To avoid wasting ingredients, match the dish Chris P. displayed whenever possible.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Chris P. Bacon’s cooking event was a limited-time activity that ran from August 2–16, 2025. You can no longer complete his original craving-and-reward loop, but you can still follow the documented five Common Garden Guide objectives to unlock the permanent Cooking Kit and continue cooking in your garden.
