Nukes & Dragons lists 112 locations and 203 fixed spawns across Appalachia. Its largest listed concentration is The Whitespring Resort, with 15; Dark Hollow Manor and Morgantown are also among the higher-count areas. The database does not state a publication year, and these counts have not been confirmed by Bethesda.

No. The Box of San Francisco Sunlights is a separate junk item. Its listed scrap components are 2 Cloth and 2 Wood, with no Fiberglass listed. The item page reports spawns in Watoga Underground, a locked storage area in the Morgantown Airport terminal, near Whitespring station, at KMAX Transmission, and in a Brim Quarry locker.
