Saber Interactive representative Emil Esov said in a July 16, 2026 PlayStation.Blog post that the team had worked on the game for “4+ years.” That gives context for the project’s development, but the launch reviews show that a lengthy development period does not by itself settle questions about execution. Is it worth buying at launch?
The reviews suggest a straightforward trade-off: the game’s strongest case is its atmosphere, presentation, and connection to the Hellraiser world; its risk is that combat, exploration, and technical execution may not feel as compelling or consistent. Consider which side matters more to you rather than relying on one launch score.

The ESRB summary describes a man trying to rescue his girlfriend from supernatural forces.
