Saber Interactive describes Hellraiser: Revival as a “visceral, story-driven, single-player, survival horror action game.” Its November 24, 2025 announcement calls the video the game’s first official gameplay trailer and frames the conflict around a fight against Pinhead and the Cenobites. Doug Bradley returns as Pinhead’s voice actor. Saber also names cultists, wretches, deviants, and other enemies as threats.

That announcement establishes the game’s genre, broad conflict, and cast of enemies, but not a verified inventory of specific gameplay mechanics or trailer moments. The available official description does not establish the trailer’s runtime or support a frame-by-frame account, so those details should not be inferred from its promotional summary.
Story: Aidan, Sunny, and the Genesis Configuration
The developer’s story account places players in the role of Aidan Lynch. His girlfriend, Sunny, activates the Genesis Configuration, a mysterious puzzle box, and Aidan discovers that her soul may still be saved. The Scarlet Church wants to use the box to contact the Cenobites; the Unworthy, described as Hell’s rejects, are also drawn to it. The premise ties Aidan’s personal goal to a wider struggle over the box.

The Genesis Configuration is also part of the combat frame: the developer says Aidan fights with weapons and the box’s powers. Steam describes the game as first-person action horror and says players combine the box’s abilities with earthly weapons. Steam also presents the story as a new chapter in Hellraiser canon.
Release date and platforms
Saber’s support FAQ lists October 8, 2026, for the game’s release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam. The date is the same day as the current date for this article; check the relevant storefront for live purchase or download status, since the FAQ’s listing alone does not establish whether a specific regional store has completed its release.
The FAQ gives Nintendo Switch 2 physical retail versions a separate date: October 30, 2026. That later date applies to the physical retail version, not the general October 8 release listing.

Physical editions are not identical across the listed consoles: Switch 2 uses a game key card rather than a conventional game disc. Confirm the current retailer listing, regional edition, price, and stock before ordering.
Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s Editions
The US PlayStation Store lists PS5 Standard and Deluxe editions. At the time its listing was accessed, Standard was $39.99 and Deluxe was $49.99; these are volatile US store prices, not guaranteed current or global prices. The PlayStation listing says Deluxe adds Deluxe Content DLC and shows a preorder offer with the “Labyrinth” Pistol Skin and “Martyr” Sawblade Skin.
Steam lists standard and Deluxe PC editions at $39.99 and $49.99, respectively, at the time accessed. Its Deluxe package includes the Nailer melee weapon, Cenobite shotgun skin, Punisher baseball-bat skin, Leviathan weapon charm, digital art book, digital soundtrack, digital Bleeding Hearts novella, and an ’80s horror-movie filter. Steam’s listed preorder offer includes the Labyrinth pistol skin and Martyr sawblade skin. Store prices and preorder contents may change, so consult the live platform listing for the edition you intend to buy.

Saber’s trailer announcement also describes two special Collector’s Editions offered by Boss Team Games. Announced inclusions include an exclusive Hellraiser puzzle box with an illumination effect inspired by the game, a display statue, and other licensed collectibles. The announcement does not establish current availability, price, or shipment status. Saber’s FAQ directs questions about preordered Collector’s Editions and fulfillment to Boss Team Games.
How long is Hellraiser: Revival, and does it need an internet connection?
Saber’s support FAQ estimates an 8–12 hour playthrough, depending on playstyle. The same FAQ says an internet connection is not required and confirms a demo on Steam. It says the studio expects to patch issues discovered after launch but currently has no plans for future DLC or content updates; that is the FAQ’s stated plan, not a guarantee that plans cannot change.

Steam lists the following minimum and recommended PC specifications. Both configurations require 80 GB of storage; Steam recommends an SSD.

Saber’s FAQ allows and encourages streaming and video creation, with an 18+ age restriction and a sexual-themes label where supported. It says the game has no streamer mode and cautions that editing explicit material may not exempt creators from platform restrictions.
The US PlayStation Store listing reports accessibility options including large text and subtitles, adjustable difficulty, pausing during offline play, and manual saves. Store information can vary by region and may change, so check the listing for the platform and territory you use.
