Download and install the replacement
- Open Canon’s official support page.
- Search for the exact printer model.
- Select the installed Windows version and architecture when Canon presents those choices.
- Download the printer driver or the complete driver-and-software package.
- Run the installer as an administrator.

Fix 3: Check Windows Security quarantine
Time needed: 5–10 minutes
Antivirus software can quarantine a driver component after a false positive or after detecting a modified file. Do not disable antivirus protection merely to obtain the DLL.
- Open Windows Security from the Start menu.

- Select Protection history.
- Review detections from the time the error began.

The following message can also indicate a mismatch or incomplete installation:
“The procedure entry point … could not be located in the dynamic link library cnbp_310.dll.”

If SFC reports that it repaired files, test the Canon utility again. If it reports no integrity violations but cnbp_310.dll is still missing, that is expected for a vendor driver. Return to the Canon reinstall procedure.
