In CODE VEIN (2019), the key to collecting Successor Blood Codes is to find and restore the right Vestiges before each boss, then restore that Successor’s memories after the fight. Choosing not to restore the memories awards the corresponding Queen’s body-part code instead, so collecting both outcomes generally means replaying the story. Other codes come from allies, exploration, an ending, or DLC.
How Blood Codes work
Blood Codes define a character’s Gifts and help shape a build. The official CODE VEIN game page describes using Blood Veils to drain enemies and spending the resulting blood to power Gifts. Io can restore and repair Blood Codes and Vestiges.

This guide is for the original CODE VEIN, not CODE VEIN II. For Successor rewards, restoration is the decisive step: recover the associated Vestige parts in the region, have Io repair the Vestiges, defeat the Successor, and restore the character’s memories in the post-boss sequence. If you do not restore those memories, you receive the matching Queen’s body-part code instead. The available guide source does not establish a way to claim both rewards from the same Successor in one run.
Successor Blood Codes: what to do before each boss
There are four Successor areas to account for. Search each one for its relevant Vestiges before entering the boss fight; do not assume you can make the memory-restoration choice later if the Vestiges were missed. The four areas are identified in the achievement guide.

The reward names and choice tradeoff are documented in the achievement guide. If you want the personal Successor codes in your current run, make memory restoration your priority at each battle.

Queen
Queen is tied to the true “Dweller in the Dark” ending. The achievement guide says this requires restoring all four Successor memories and Io’s memories. Bandai Namco producer Keita Iizuka notes that “Code Vein features multiple endings” and that player choices affect which ending occurs.

- Asclepius: It becomes available after purchasing DLC 1, in a new room on the corridor from Crypt Spire toward Provisional Government Outskirts. The room also contains the Fiery Oblivion Depths map.
The official game page names the other packs as Frozen Empress and Lord of Thunder and confirms that they add Blood Codes, but the available sources do not document the exact unlock condition for every code in those packs. DLC codes require access to the relevant content; ownership and availability can depend on your edition and platform.
Plan for a complete collection
Choose your priority before the Successor fights: the personal code or the Queen’s body-part code. If you want the personal codes and the true ending, restore each Successor’s memories and Io’s memories. If you want Queen’s body-part codes, leave the corresponding memories unrestored; that choice affects the ending as well.
