The listed reward is 3 Gas Mines and 1 Raider Hatch Key.
Who gives Cold Storage, and where do you do it?
Shani gives Cold Storage, and the quest takes place in Stella Montis. It is listed after In My Image and before Snap And Salvage in the ARC Raiders Wiki quest entry. Shani’s dialogue, as transcribed there, says: “Reports about Stella Montis keep coming in, and it’s unlike anything we’ve seen before. There may be records or relics from the past in there, and if so, I want them.”
How to complete Cold Storage
- Check the live objective text. Quest references call the item either “Rare Books” or “Old World Books.” Follow the wording and marker shown in your current game build.
- Deploy to Stella Montis and find a J Kozma Ventures container. Look for the J Kozma marking. The objective accepts any qualifying container; the named routes below are examples, not mandatory coordinates.
- Search the container and collect the books. The books appear after you interact with the container, advancing the objective to delivering them to Shani.
- Extract in that same round. Both steps are described as taking place “In One Round,” so keep the quest item and successfully extract before the round ends.
- Return to Shani. Deliver the books to complete the quest and claim the listed rewards.
Where can you find a J Kozma Ventures container?
There is no single required location. The PC Gamer walkthrough describes a pale container at Lobby Metro, near the platform and an extraction point. Prima Games’ route goes south of Cargo Dock B using a zipline. The ARC Raiders Wiki describes an example with access to a wind tunnel extract.
Choose based on what you can safely reach in your run: look for the visible J Kozma marking, consider how far you must travel, and plan an extraction route. The guides do not establish measured success rates or prove one route is safer than the others.

What are the rewards?
The quest listings give 3 Gas Mines and 1 Raider Hatch Key as the reward. These are in-game quantities listed by the PC Gamer guide and Prima Games guide.

Most walkthroughs and quest references identify Shani and the two-step sequence of searching a container and delivering the books. Some other listings differ on the giver or objective wording and count. If your quest screen conflicts with a guide, use the live in-game objective as the authority for your current build. The item name also varies by source: “Rare Books” and “Old World Books” refer to the books collected from the J Kozma Ventures container in the walkthroughs.
