After launch, Kalypso’s May 2025 Update 1.1 notes fixes for reported performance problems and crashes, including an AI behavior fix related to restoring normal enemy behavior after loading a save. Kalypso identifies Claymore Game Studios as the developer and describes Commandos: Origins as a World War II real-time tactics and stealth game. The FAQ says each mission has one or two unique objectives that appear only once in the game. It also describes multiple approaches to objectives, manual and quick saves, mouse-and-keyboard and controller input, and two control schemes on PC and consoles.

In its February 2025 FAQ, Kalypso listed Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, and said the game was available through Xbox Game Pass for console and PC. It also described digital and physical editions. These are historical publisher listings, not confirmation of today’s Game Pass catalog, retail stock or regional availability.

The FAQ said digital Xbox One and PS4 versions would follow later in 2025. It also described a physical Deluxe Edition retail release planned for May 22, 2025, with timing subject to regional variation.
