- Butcher & Bolt: a 1v1 map.
- Across the Savio: a 3v3 map.
Lobby and gameplay changes
The lobby refresh lets players select a Battlegroup without leaving the lobby and restrict which Battlegroups AI opponents can choose. The update also adjusted pathing, infantry combat, suppression, and faction balance. Its initial balance work focused on massed infantry; the notes said vehicle-massing changes were intended for a later update.
What is Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand?
Final Stand is a standalone PC/Steam wave-defense experience built around layered defenses and increasingly difficult enemy attacks. It launched on July 29, 2026, alongside update 2.5.0, but is a separate product rather than a mode included in the main Company of Heroes 3 update. The official announcement describes 12 escalating waves, four playable factions—Wehrmacht, US Forces, British Forces, and Deutsches Afrikakorps—and an Endless Mode.

Waves, bosses, events, and difficulty
The 2026 official announcement lists 36 boss units, 18 dynamic in-game events, and eight difficulty levels. These are published feature counts, not independent performance or balance statistics. The announcement also describes multiple Battlegrounds and battlefield events that can alter a run.
Solo and co-op play
The launch FAQ specifies single-player or two-player co-op. A co-op lobby browser was added in a July 30, 2026 post-launch hot fix, making it easier to find or join a co-op session.

What changed after Final Stand launched?
Official hot-fix announcements followed on July 30, July 31, August 7, September 8, and September 16, 2026. The July 31 notes added Steam Cloud support for Final Stand perk saves. Later fixes addressed progression, gameplay, stability, and exploits. The September 16 notes specifically said an exploit that allowed Final Stand perks to be brought into multiplayer had been fixed.
What is planned for update 3.0?
As of October 9, 2026, the latest official announcement scheduled update 3.0 for November 5, 2026. That date and its contents were plans, not released features. For Final Stand, the announcement listed a three-player mode compatible with all Battlegrounds, a new Dam Busters Battleground, 13 new player units, 14 abilities, 35 passive technologies, and eight enemy units.

Is Final Stand currently discounted?
The July 29, 2026 launch announcement described a time-limited 10% discount and an additional 20% discount for existing Company of Heroes 3 owners. Those were launch-period offers; the announcement does not establish whether either discount is available now.
