1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesAs of October 2026, Counter-Strike 2’s Active Duty pool—the maps used for Premier selection—contains Ancient, Anubis, Cache, Dust II, Inferno, Mirage and Nuke. That is not the complete roster of maps available across CS2’s modes, and the pool can change with updates. Valve also revised Premier map selection in September 2026: teams choose maps, then the game randomly selects one from the four chosen.
What maps are in the CS2 Active Duty pool?
The latest pool list located, updated July 9, 2026, names these seven maps: Ancient, Anubis, Cache, Dust II, Inferno, Mirage and Nuke. The July 2026 update brought Cache into the pool and removed Overpass. The list is a dated snapshot, not a guarantee of what will remain in the pool indefinitely; check the Premier map-selection screen in game for current availability.
- Ancient
- Anubis
- Cache
- Dust II
- Inferno
- Mirage
- Nuke
ProSettings’ CS2 maps reference, updated July 9, 2026, corroborates the seven-map list. The latest Cache-for-Overpass change was located in SteamDB’s July 8, 2026 patch archive, rather than a directly readable Valve release-note page.
How does map selection work in CS2 Premier?
Since Valve’s September 22, 2026 update, teams pick maps and the game randomly selects the match map from the four choices. This differs from the familiar ban-until-one-map-remains process. Valve said the change is intended to let players benefit from the time they invest in developing strategies on particular maps. See Valve’s Steam Community announcement for the update.

How has the Active Duty pool changed?
Recent rotations explain why older CS2 map lists may not match the current pool.
| Update | Maps added and removed | What it means for the current list |
|---|---|---|
| July 2025, Premier Season Three | Overpass added; Anubis removed | Anubis was temporarily out of Active Duty. Valve’s Season Three update. |
| January 2026, Premier Season Four | Anubis added; Train removed | Anubis returned and Train left the pool. The change was reported in a reproduction of the update notes on Steam Community. |
| July 2026, Premier Season Five | Cache added; Overpass removed | This is the latest pool change located; the move is recorded in SteamDB’s patch archive. |
Are these all the maps in Counter-Strike 2?
No. Active Duty refers to the Premier map pool, not every map available throughout CS2. Other maps and map categories are available in different modes, and Valve supports community map creation and submissions through the Counter-Strike 2 Workshop maps page. A complete, current map roster for every mode is not established here, so the seven-map list should not be treated as the full CS2 catalog.

Where can you confirm the current pool?
Open Premier’s map-selection screen in CS2 and review the maps offered there. Updates can change pool membership, so that in-game list is the practical check when deciding what is currently selectable. Valve’s announcement history provides context for changes, while third-party map lists can lag behind a new update.
