Crabble Spawning Grounds is a small cave system on Paradise Island in The Outer Worlds 2, near the island’s landing pad. Walkthroughs report two Rift Anomalies inside; activating them in sequence leads to a container with the Shrink Ray. The cave also contains Sam Gould’s Pitchball Card, reported to grant +1% Critical Chance.
Where to find Crabble Spawning Grounds
The cave is near the Paradise Island landing pad, southwest or due south of it according to walkthrough descriptions. Obsidian Senior Environment Artist Marchand Venter identifies it as the first point of interest he contributed to the game and describes it as a small cave system near the start of the first open-world section. His ArtStation project page says: “The Crabble Spawning Grounds were the very first POI I was able to contribute to the Outer Worlds 2.”
A community location index entry also lists the site, but flags its information as incomplete. It does not establish a comprehensive cave layout or item list.
How to get the Shrink Ray
Neoseeker’s walkthrough reports two Rift Anomalies in the grounds. Its recommended order is to activate the northern rift first, followed by the southern one. The resulting platforms provide a route to a ledge and a container holding the Shrink Ray.

Where to find Sam Gould’s Pitchball Card
PowerPyx places Sam Gould’s Pitchball Card inside the cave and reports its effect as +1% Critical Chance. The guide describes a route that descends from the first cave section to the beach, continues into the next cave section toward a rift, and then leads to eggs blocking a hidden alcove. Destroy the eggs to access the card.
